  was a beautiful place to stay. room was great, bathroom was amazing. breakfast was nice but wasn't much of it at 9am. would stay again if the opportunity came around

  Tout était parfait, l'accueil, la chambre, le village d'Erice est magnifique et tranquille. Un vrai rêve de dormir dans un château-fort!

  The castle has been beautifully restored, and the location is stunning, with views of the town of Erice, the ocean, the salt pans of Trapani, and the Temple of Venus. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, without being over-the-top. If you can manage lots of stair-climbing, I would recommend the Tower Room, which is (literally) at the top of the tower, with stunning 360-degree views. There is also an excellent restaurant at the hotel. Erice is a beautiful town to explore, and has some amazing pastry shops. We also visited the Greek temple and amphitheatre at Segesta from Erice, and if we had more time, would have visited the Egadi Islands and Zingaro nature reserve.

  While the rooms are relatively simple but very comfortable the views were breathtaking. From our window we had a view of trappani, the salt pans, the sea and the egadian islands. The hotel staff were incredibely helpful and charming. The town itself is a gem although I would say that given the small size you probably would not want to spend more than a day or two there. Loved the hotel and cannot recommend it, the staff, or the town itself more highly.

  We had a room in the main tower with a fantastic view. The room and especially the bathroom were wide and comfortable (marble, hot tub, huge shower). You can just leave the car where you can and someone from the hotel can park it for you and bring your luggage to your room.

  More than that they give you a pass for free parking wherever you want in the city, which is really convenient. My complain was about a loud concert in the garden of the hotel that lasted more than 5 hours.

• Un castello di alta classe

  L'hotel è costruito all'interno di un antico castello e le camere si affacciano sulle montagne e sul mare. Abbiamo viaggiato molto e devo dire che questo hotel aveva uno dei migliori panorami che ci siano mai capitati, soprattutto il mattino presto e la sera, ed era molto romantico. Le camere erano spaziose e avevano arredi e dotazioni di alta qualità. L'hotel si trova nei giardini del castello che sono, in parte, riservati solo agli ospiti. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno piacevolissimo, possiamo solo lamentarci del fatto che l'hotel non avesse un parcheggio privato (credo che nessun hotel di Erice ce l'abbia). Dal 15 di giugno al 15 di settembre dovrete parcheggiare l'auto a pagamento: 1 euro all'ora tutto il giorno escluse due ore e mezza all'ora di pranzo e la notte, da mezzanotte alle 8.30 del mattino. E' stata davvero una spesa imprevista. Lungo le strade ci sono davvero pochissimi spazi per parcheggiare non a pagamento, che sono praticamente imprendibili. Inoltre, abbiamo dovuto cambiare camera poco dopo l'arrivo. Stavamo dormendo e gli ospiti del piano di sopra sono tornati in hotel e potevamo sentire esattamente tutto ciò che dicevano o facevano. Le pareti delle camere devono essere molto spesse, ma i pavimenti non sono stati insonorizzati quando il castello è stato convertito in hotel, credo. Per fortuna, c'era un'altra camera libera a disposizione e ci siamo spostati. Abbiamo comunque trascorso un ottimo soggiorno!

  The Hotel is part of the old castle and rooms overlook the mountains and sea. The rooms are spacious and have high quality fixtures and furniture. Although we really enjoyed our stay the only complaint is that the hotel does not have it's own carparking (as I don't think any of the hotels do in Erice), you have to pay for car parking from 15th June - 15th September at a rate of 1 Euro per hour only excluding 2. Also we had to move rooms shortly after we arrived, as we were having a sleep and the people who were staying in the room above arrived back at their room and we could hear everything from whenever they spoke to turning on a tap - although the walls of the rooms must be very thick, the floors cannot have been sound proofed when they converted part of the castle into a hotel, luckily the hotel had another room free, so we moved.
