Top Pineda Palace Pineda de Mar

The H Top Pineda Palace is a very decent hotel in an excellent promenade location opposite the beach, which can be reached in 2 minutes from the front door.

The main plus of this hotel, is its location.

The only down side to this type of location is noise.

1)taxi from Girona airport to Santa Susana cost €52 and back from Pineda De Mar was €55 and for bigger parties i noticed taxis with 5 or 6 passenger seats.

We had booked hotel Royal Sun in Santa Susana but when we arrived we were told the Royal Sun was full and was transferred to the Pineda Palace by taxi at the hotel expense.

The rooms are well decorated; clean however the beds are like lying on the floor the mattresses are so hard!

We were very lucky to get a sea view room number 214 some people we spoke to were not so lucky and had corner rooms with no view.

Our room was at the back which was not exactly a splendid vista, but I gather the sea facing rooms can be noisy as the hotel sits right onto the main (and busy) promenade.

The rooms were of a good size with a small fridge and nice bathroom and balcony,ours with a nice sea view but i noticed some with a brick wall view.

It easily fit 4 beds and had a large bathroom.

The rooms were spotless, the bar staff were very polite and the food in the restaurant was always hot.

The snack bar was open during the day but we never really bothered with this as we had eaten sufficient food at meal times.

You can go to the restaurant outwith meal times and get something to eat which is basically the leftovers from the previous meal time.

The food was quite good, breakfast, lunch and dinner with always something i liked nearly every day.

The food was okay for breakfast but I would not recommend the evening meal at all.

The reception area is clean, the pool is on the roof of the hotel so you get a great view and the maid service is very good.

A pleasant stay in a cleanly decorated recently refurbished hotel, the reception staff were friendly and the restaurant was bright.

Great Value hotel, most of the staff were friendly not allways so on reception and the rooms were cleaned every morning.

Maids and waitresses were exceptional; front desk not as good but still professional.

The gym is literally 4 pieces of equipment the sauna and jacuzzi need to be booked one day b4.

There wasn't anything to do in Pineda and the hotel has no pool table, the entertainment is awful, the jacquzzi and sauna have to be booked 24 hours in advance.

There are 3 lifts in the Pineda Palace which hold 9 people - the spanish seem to think that means on top of the 5 that are already in the lift.

The room was spotless and the restaurant was clean.

Rooms are clean and the poolside bar is a great idea.

Moreover very helpful staff, the rooms were kept spotlessly clean and the food was not bad.

Rooms and hotel itself are nice and well maintained and clean.

The hotel staff we found to be very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were kept spotlessly clean, a credit to the housekeeping staff.
