The bathroom was huge, including a great tub, complete with a choice of bath salts.

We requested a double bed, got twin beds instead.

The hotel is a great antique palace with lots of charme and class ; the room was very large with outstanding wrough iron beds ,beautiful antique furniture , great view over an incredibly beautiful Italian garden very well maintened.

The room itself was decorated very nicely in period furniture, and had two very large shuttered windows.

The bathroom was large and contained both a shower and a bath.

But whilst we wouldn't write rave reviews of the restaurant cuisine, the ambience of the dining room was first rate, the local 'green' wines are delicious and the service is so good, you can forget about the slightly bland food, I think.

The restaurant offered,if compared to average portuguese cuisine,quite a good selection of food.

We ate in the hotel restaurant which is a very grand dining room and had a lovely and enjoyable meal.

They have the best Portugal breakfast and restaurant service.

There is a nice restaurant and terrace bar and the grounds of the palace are very well maintained with an Italian garden, lemon trees cold water pool for the hot summer months, tennis court and lots of pathsways that make for a lovely morning walk.

The staff was extremelly helpful and very service-oriented.

The only two little lacks were the small number of clients and the staff at reception that could have been nicer.

It's outdated and creaky, no real service or 'extra touches" from the staff, zero ambience.

The waiter service was excellent and very attentive and the food fabulous.

There is a long terrace outside with views of the orchard and pool and every table had fresh flowers from the garden.

There were flowers in every corner of the hotel , a very nice pool with cold water (.

Hotel is old but stunning in its beauty, gardens and swimming pool well maintain.

Our room, alas, albeit nice and clean, was a bit old and somewhat "passé".

The room is comfortable, clean and very good sheets.

The bathroom was huge and although dated, spotlessly clean.
