I visited Exeter for one night and had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. This was a magnificent location short walk to a good value homely pub run by friendly people, the church and the airport. It also was to centre of Exeter. Had hot drinks in the wine bar.

We had a wonderful stay at this 4-star hotel. The staff were great, the food fantastic, and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. We enjoyed the hotel's location, nestled in a cute village. The garden had comfortable furniture, perfect for relaxing with a drink. The service was top-notch, with the staff being helpful and friendly. The rooms were well-appointed, with tea and coffee facilities and a television. The hotel also offered a variety of activities, such as darts and billiards, as well as hiking and fishing. The breakfast was delicious, and the special diet menus were a nice touch. we had a fantastic experience here, and we would highly recommend it to families seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My wife and I really enjoyed being there. My room was well-appointed and complete with 2 single beds. Location: the hotel was not far from Salcombe, centre of Exeter and refurbished pub. Moreover, it was just a pleasant stroll away from Baptist Church.

The staff here are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful! They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was great and had everything we needed. Although the £10 dog fee was a bit much, everything else was superb. The room rate was fantastic, and the room itself was so comfortable, warm, and cosy. The pub garden had nice furniture and the car park was always spacious. The location was convenient and it was great to have a place to walk the dog right on the doorstep. a fabulous stay and I would highly recommend!

I got great value for my money at the hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious, exceeding my expectations. The location was perfect, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to walks for my dog. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome throughout my stay.
The morning meal could have been improved with a menu, making it easier to know what options were available. Everything else about the stay was enjoyable, but a menu for breakfast would have been a helpful addition.

What a fantastic place and family that run it, we were welcomed with open arms from the moment we checked in. Mandy was exceptional she went above and beyond and was so nice and helpful. The food in both the restaurant and the bar was fantastic and all the staff were lovely, they even made us something that wasn't on the menu. Mandy even arranged a bit of karaoke for us in the bar after I jokingly mentioned it, we had a fabulous time. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The pub garden had decent furniture. The car park at the rear always had enough space. The village was cute.
Do recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect for my needs and it was great to have a place where dogs are welcome. The room I stayed in was comfortable, clean, and had a lovely old-fashioned charm. The breakfast served was delicious and filling, giving me the energy I needed for the day. The gardens were beautiful and provided a nice area to relax with my four-legged companions. The nearby walk area was an added bonus for exercising the dogs. The friendly atmosphere of the village and the lively pub just up the road added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at a charming country inn. The warm welcome from the landlord and landlady made us feel right at home, even though we arrived late at night. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we were even offered a drink at the bar upon arrival. The inn's location was perfect, just a short drive away from the center of town. The thoughtful touches in the room, like tea, coffee, and biscuits, added to the overall pleasant experience. The breakfast choices were great and the bar downstairs offered delicious dinner options. Despite a few minor inconveniences, we would highly recommend this hidden gem for a lovely stay in the countryside or a convenient stopover. we had a wonderful time at this inn and would definitely return.
