Unpleasant receptionist, climbing to bungalow in dark is not comfortable, no bedside tables, no lamps by bed, bad room lighting (not comfortable to read)

The beach is one of the best in Phangan, plus from outside the hotel doesnt look like a hotel compared to the others in the surrounding area which makes it unique.

If you*re looking for a place to party, this area is far away from everything and most of the bars. But definitly if you're with your partner ;-)

I liked the location as there is a lovely secluded beach. There are many good restaurants along the beach. The price was very reasonable and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Beach front, worh money and good location.

The location is nice if you are looking for a quite place far away from the full moon parties. The beach is beautiful and they are few hotels around. Also a good point is that the closest restaurant is not in front of the bungalows so it is very quite at night. We had a bungalow with view on the sea so it was nice but I thought overpriced.

It is a bit expensive for what it is, especially if you take the beach view bungalows: the room was clean but the bathroom was bit dirty (for the price you pay, you expect to have something a bit cleaner) and they is few space to put your clothes (ok if you plan to stay just a couple of days). The breakfast is not included in the price. It is ok but not exceptional and the closest hotel also offering breakfast does the same. The personnel of the restaurant is really not nice and not organised and the service is very slow (except for one guy who is always smiling and trying to make your life nice, the others seem to be depressed and really don't care about you). Always double check your note because they are often mistakes (not that they necessarily try to abuse you but they are mistakes).

Uninterested breakfast staff and changing prices. No free breakfast. Receptionist tried to lie to cover up her mistake of mis-booking us on a tour. Better beach chairs needed.

This resort is right on a beautiful beach and is within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. The staff are very pleasant and the on site restaurant has great food.

The air-conditioning in our room wasnt very good.

Nice bungalows near the beach in the nature, offer lots of privacy, great location, great village nearby with all the necessities.. Another great beach and village a couple kilometers away...

Fridge is really missing in the bungalows, quite expensive restaurant in the resort (not a problem; there are many restaurants within walking distance).

For the price the location of this hotel is second to none on the island, although a bit out of the way the hotel provided great taxi service when needed for visiting events on the island. The small village has everything you need and locals are friendly. Our room was basic and could have done with a fridge but our view was fantastic and the location of it you couldn't fault.

Restaurant was slightly over priced, however staff were friendly and service was good.

Alought the hotel is very far from the town, but it is very good and quite place for me and my family to relax, the beach is very well clear water and very nice restaurant just a few walk 1 min only provide good Thai food and drink, we ate every day over there, the staff also very friendly, the hotel owner she is very helpful and friendly, she will help you anything you need. I highly recommend Thongtapan to you if you don't want to party or you just like to enjoy a relax holiday in koh Phangan.

Location was excellent, by the beautiful beach. Staff, especially their right hand man, was very helpful and friendly. Restaurant is good and atmospheric as it is on the beach.

Wifi not available in the bunaglows, only by the reception area.
