Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Bergen - 卑爾根

For value the hotel was very good considering its location and compared to most other hotels we had researched which were located further away and charged more.

The location is very good, right next to the old Brygge area, although about 10 minutes walk from the main city centre.

The location, close to the harbour, museums, fish market, and restaurants was really excellent.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, right in the centre of Bergen & a few minutes from the airport bus stop.

We took the bus from the airport and got off at the last stop.

The room I felt was quite large, with room for a twin bed with a couch that could have turned into a bed.

The room felt like an attic with the sloped exterior wall meaning you had to climb out of bed carefully so you did not do yourself an injury.

Very slight negatives-the single rooms are very small (as are the beds) & they are a little bit mean with towels.

The beds are comfortable and there is heating cables in the bathroom floor.

We liked the friendly front desk staff, beds are very comfortable and the mall has several great restaurants to choose from.

The sting in the tail was the parking as they used the public carpark across the road which added 180Nkr per night which was far more than our research had suggested.

It is an old place, so the rooms vary a lot, but I stayed twice (thus two rooms) and they were modernized, clean and comfortable -- one was actually large by European standards!

Additionally, our room was appointed well and clean.

Our room #408 overlooked the old wooden houses of Bryggen quayside and there was a clear view of the harbour too.

The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was the best I have ever experienced.

Our rooms on the third floor with side Wharf views were clean, comfortable and a reasonable size.
