Thon Hotel Polar Tromso - 特罗姆瑟

The location is excellent next to Tromso's main shopping street and near all the important clubs and restaurants.

Good location around the corner from the Grand Hotel, where the Flybussen drops you off.

Easy to access from the airport and the central location of the hotel in the middle of the city.

There is nothing spectacular about this hotel but it has a great central location, only a couple of minutes away from the airport bus stop and the high street.

The hotel is within a 5 minute walk of the town centre and the airport bus stops within a 30 second walk of the hotel reception.

My Single room with a single bed and not many frills was ok for a three star hotel.

One thing to watch out for - if you get a double room, you may end up with a sofa bed (!

The hotel rooms were not a bad size, plenty of room to hang clothes etc and a heated bathroom floor (very nice when it's -10 outside!

The renovated rooms come complete with a good size bathroom and plasma TV.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed and breakfast was also very good and varied.

The breakfast was good value and was a good way of filling up for the day to avoid having to pay the extortionate prices for food in restaurants.

Good buffet breakfast served in adjacent chain restaurant.

We ate at "Emma's Drømmekjøkke" (Emma's Dream Kitchen) restaurant, which had reasonably priced food a short walk from the hotel.

Breakfast was good, with a good choice and spectacular views over Tromso as the restaurant is on the 9th floor!

Again breakfast was basic but OK - fill your boots as my old mother says, as eating out is pricey.

Concierge service at the lobby is very good and exceptionally friendly.

The reception staff are efficient and polite.

Usual scandanavian simple style, helpful staff and lots of hot water.

There is a PC in the lobby but you still have to pay for internet access on it.

There is a computer that charges per hour for internet in the lobby.

I stayed on the second floor in the main building which did have wireless (?

There was no wireless internet available in our building (they advertise wireless).

The staff were excellent and the hotel and our single and double rooms were spotless.

The room was clean when we arrived but it didn't look as though our floor was swept or washed during our stay.

For that i got a budget hotel and a small but clean and functional room.

Our room was basic and didn't feel completely clean and wasn't well vacummed.
