Thon Hotel Maritim Stavanger - 斯塔万格

The morning receptionist didn't know about our situation, the only good thing about the hotel is the location.

The location is quite central, close to restaurants and shopping area.

The location in the middle of the city centre is excellent, this hotel is just perfect.

It took us at least 30 minutes to find the hotel entrance as it is hiden in a pedestrian area where vertually all streets are forbidden for cars except bus and taxi.

The bus station is only about 300m from the hotel.

Spacious bedroom and bathroom (the bathroom is very wheelchair-friendly).

On the other hand I missed some little details to cleanliness as I still found hairs on the bathroom floor when I entered the room the first time, which didn´t belonged to me.

They decorated with pleasing colors of yellow and warm woods and though the room is a standard European "smallish" size, it has all the comforts and amenities you could want.

Furthermore the rooms were nice, coffee were free.

Staff were friendly and the room was quiet.

The breakfast was excellent (I've found the non-budget Thon hotels all had great breakfasts), there's free internet, free expresso machine (very good per my friend).

There's free internet and the fine food at the restaurants -particularly the pub Phineas Fogg.

First, it is located in a perfect area, downtown bordering the city lake and the cathedral, with a 2 minute walk to the harbor and waterfront for shopping and restaurants/bars and 1 minute to the train/bus station.

The restaurant was very nice and once a month they have a complimentary guest dinner - be sure to check and see if this is available during your stay.

Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.

Good servie from employees, reception staff were polite and helpful, showers were clean.

Contrary to a previous post, we did not have any problems parking.

The only "negative" is that there is no hotel parking, contrary to what it says on the Booked.net website.

The closest place to park your car is at the parking lot above the bus station nearby.

My only problem with this hotel was that the wireless internet was not free.

Rooms are very small, but clean, tidy and adequate.

Second, the rooms were clean and delightful.

Maritim for a fantastic stay, the service was also very good and the rooms were clean and cosy.

The staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and delightful, the complimentary breakfast buffet was good.

Clean room available from the moment we arrived and breakfast was very good.
