  The hotel itself fared little better and helpfull and friendly staff. The room was large.

  Good price including breakfast for overnight stay and reception personnel were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet.

  Bed nice the decor bathroom was a little tired and the staff were very helpful. Room had an annex was handy for storaging out luggage.

• "Excellent value for money"

  Stayed at the Thistle on Bath Road for one night (Friday) prior to a three week trip to Australia. Chose the Hotel purely on value for money from the internet, mainly for the car parking deal. We were offered three weeks parking with one night stay for £77 room only, but unbeatable value. No reception problems, immediate porter service, room absolutely fine, including hot and COLD water. Car park spacious, with no problems. We suffered no aircraft noise during our stay, but suspect take off was from the other end of the runway. Have to admit it was quite noisy when we picked up the car. Having said that most Hotels on Bath Road will suffer some noise due to the close proximity of the airport. Overall, would definately use this Hotel again, and it is nowhere near as bad as some reviews make out.

  Phoned reception who checked a few things and offered to come up which I accepted. Service needs improvement.

  Secure parking area, bus 423 was free and we could park anywhere as long as we did not block anyone in. The hotel was comfortable breakfast also good, the price was reasonable too and the staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were large, fortunately the sheets were clean and food in restaurant was excellent.

  The receptionist then advised no mistake was made and check-in was quite slow too.

  Convenient to Heathrow Airport, free shuttle or cheap Taxi to and restaurants in the village that are better priced. Moreover staff in that hotel are very friendly and helpful, each building is two stories high, acceptable accomodations at a fair price well located for an unavoidable stopover during air travel. Heating didn't work initiailly and the breakfast buffet is excellent.

  The towels are very hard, drinks there are amazingly expensive - 5 pounds for a glass of wine.
