Westin Palace, Madrid - 马德里

I really Liked the location and centrally located historical hotel.

Very good location close to Prado and within easy walking distance of centre of Spain.

We loved the location for proximity to the museums, Retiro, Plaza Mayor, and Atocha but did not think the concierge was very good.

Prado museum and convenient to the metro subway system, which we used often.

A taxi from to/from airport will cost approx €25.

The bathroom suite (yes, multi-room bathroom) had separate shower stall, tub, and toilet.

Postives: Our room had a Heavenly Bed (down bedding, high thread count sheets, good mattress) and marble finishes in the bathroom.

2 sink Marble bathroom, VERY comfy queen size (kings are only available in the suites) bed, desk, tv, table, 2 chairs.

We had a junior suite with a sitting area, the classic Westin Heavenly Bed and a great big bathroom.

As for the room - the bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom and its amenities are very luxurious.

We ate in the Asia Gallery restaurant which was lovely and very reasonable, breakfast was usually busy but offered a good choice of hot and cold dishes.

From the front doorman "Luis" to the service we received in the restaurant and bar "Miguel" everything was perfect.

We also had dinner at the rotunda restaurant and drinks at the bar.

The breakfast was excellent and the lobby/bar is quite grandious.

Breakfast restaurant was very nice as well as menu.

The basic room was a good size for a city hotel and everyone from the maids to the concierge to the dining room staff could not have provided better service.

I have stayed at the best hotels in Spain, Germany, France, and Italy and from the Front Desk to Concierge to Room Service, these guys made every effort to let us feel at home.

The concierge was very helpful as was the Reception Staff.

Unlike other reviewers, we had no issues with waiting for service either at the reception desk or at the concierge desk, but I guess it depends on the time of day or time of year.

As other reviewers mentioned, everything is top notch, and dont overlook the great gym, sauna and little sundeck on the top floor.

The hotel overall is great, with a good small gym (but no pool), a really nice breakfast buffet which is served in a beautiful room with a glass domed atrium.

The only drawback to the hotel is that there are some steps into the hotel and from the lobby to the elevator (about 8) that can't be avoided.

Very comfortable bedrooms and everywhere was very clean and tidy.

The room was beautifully appointed and everything was spotless.

We stayed three nights at the Palace and we had a wonderful time, the room was luxurious, spotless basically everything you would expect for a 5*.

Our bedroom on the fourth floor was very clean, well appointed, and had everything that we could possibly require.

The room was clean and beautifully appointed.
