Westin Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego - 圣迭戈

This hotel is located in a great location if wish to be close to the Gaslamp Quarter, which contains lots of great restaurants.

The location is great and the hotel is very well located in the middle of downtown.

The location next to the Gaslamp Quarter is obviously the #1 feature of the hotel.

This hotel has a GREAT location; just $10 in a cab from the airport, in the Horton Plaza Shopping Complex (J Crew, Banana Republic etc), and adjacent to the restaurants, theatres and atmosphere of the Gaslamp Quarter.

Our flight arrived late at night in San Diego so we were very pleased of its proximity to the airport (literally 5 minutes away).

Went to check in and was informed that our room, booked thru Hotwire for 4 people, Was not available and that they could give us 2 king size bed rooms on the same floor instead.

Unlike some other reviews, I found my room (15th floor, 'preferred guest' room) to be excellent - good sofa and chair, nice desk (although not up to Marriott standards), reasonable bed, good bath.

Rooms were spotlessly clean and nicely decorated and the usual Westin touches--a robe, a comfortable bed, high-quality soaps and lotions--were all present.

Large spacious rooms, with very nice flat-screen TV and high speed Internet, plenty of desk space, good toileteries, excellent bed.

The room with its heavenly bed, the shower robes, the great views, the helpful staff, and the calm quiet atmosphere have guaranteed us wonderful overnights.

There is one sports bar / restaurant, a Starbucks, and a out dated restaurant used only for breakfast.

The hotel dining is somewhat limited (a somewhat noisy Sports Bar/Grille and a breakfast Cafe).

95 and included a salad and dessert); Cheese Shop for breakfast or lunch (nice little place on 4th avenue); and the Napa Grill in Horton Plaza if you like contemporary american cuisine.

The restaurant downstairs a bit pricy, but there if you wanted a bite to eat or a cocktail at the bar.

There is a nice restaurant just outside the hotel doors - a French cafe - nice breakfast and lunch!

I was impressed with the customer service to include front desk (Jeanette) and bar staff, but overall the facilities are a bit run down.

The staff, everyone from the front desk to the chamber maids could not be any friendlier.

The front desk manager assured us he had called another one, but I and another customer waited at least 5-10 minutes for service.

Staff very friendly, and helpful, swimming pool, spa and gym a big plus.

The gym was very nice with a decent jacuzzi and pool.

There is a small pool, whirlpool, gym, and a "garden patio" area.

I opted for the $16/day internet package which gives T-1 hi speed wired access in your room (wireless is available in the common areas) as well as free domestic long distance; great value for calling home!

The staff was very helpful and the room was very clean.

The room was modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet.

00 per night, a very clean fairly large and comfortable room.

Furthermore the rooms are simple and clean.

Moreover the rooms are remarkably clean and loved the bar - great people watching.
