Well, the hotel was definately worth the price.
You will get excellent service for the price of what you would expect at a 4 or 5 star hotel.
The hotel charges a ten dollar fee for internet access per day.
The location was terrific, being right on the riverwalk and close to lots of eating establishments and things to do.
The location is great - but there are many nice ones nearby.
The location of the hotel was good, and there was virtually no noise.
Coming from the jaded NYC metro area, we're always skeptical about how good a $250/night hotel can be.
My husband politely responded that he was a guest too and was requesting they call a taxi if one was not already on the street.
The rooms were nice with highlights being the bed and bathroom.
Of course, the room was not inspected, as there was a portion of a snack bag wrapper, in the middle of the hallway in the room, leading past the bath, to the bed area.
The room was very nicely decorated and the bed linens were comfortable.
The room was decorated in creams and golds very understated elegance with matlesse coverlets on the bed that were removed each night and taken out for turndown service.
The service was fantastic, for example, you come back to your room after a long day and they have your bed turned down (the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in), slippers are by the bed and soft classical music is playing.
We ate breakfast twice and dinner once at the hotel restaurant, and the employees were extremely nice and friendly and the food was very good.
The hotel restaurant wasn't that great for breakfast.
The Internet was high priced, the robes were nice and our breakfasts at the restaurant were delicious.
We did the B&B package, which included breakfast for 2 either at Pesca, the restaurant, or through room service, which is what we chose every morning ($295/night).
The bathrooms were beautiful and the restaurant on the lower level was very nice for breakfast.
The service at the hotel was great, the concierge staff was the best I have ever encountered and all the furniture was very nice and clean.
Front desk staff and concierge were neither unfriendly nor incompetent, but certainly not helpful or enthusiastic.
The staff was friendly and the service #1.
To top it off, the Fitness Club, Heated Outdoor Pool and giant jacuzzi are on the roof-top.
We had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves everyday except for one time and met some very nice people.
We were considering the Hotel Valencia or the Watermark and while we didn't visit the Hotel Valencia during our recent stay we were really pleased with the Watermark because of its spa and great roof top pool.
1- very poor wireless internet access for laptops (that is only if you are unwilling to pay for access).
The rooms are spotless, super clean and they do not stink.
The room was clean and the employees were extremely nice and friendly.
The staff in the spa is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are large and clean.
The nicest place in san antonio and i love staying here the rooms are clean and the view of the riverwalk is great.
We were not in the room all day Saturday, so I don't know exactly why they did not clean the room, other than there was a wedding party at the hotel and it was completely booked.
