The Inn was right in the heart of Lenox. It was easy to walk to everything. The furnishings are best described as Shabby Chic/ antique. Our room was quite large with a king size bed, sofa, arm chair, dresser, and coffee table with more than enough room to walk around. We we very excited to dine in the highly recommended Inn restaurant, but it was closed for a family emergency while we were there.
The omedy show in Rumpy's Tavern was awful. Distasteful content matter and not well delivered by any of the 3 comedians we stayed to watch (difficult to walk out due to the set up of the room).

If you enjoy history and I do, this is very nice place. It combines amenities of more modern accommodations (whirlpool tub) with rustic charm and whimsy(Large teddy bear at the piano) When I have more time (this was a very short stay) I will return and get a more complete experience. The tavern downstairs was fun but I was glad I had a room on the top floor in case I wanted to make it an early night.
The king size bed was actually two twins put together, which would have been nice to know when making a decision between a room with queen or king size. The hair dryer/mirror combo was too high for me ( I am 5' tall) and I could not easily understand how it worked.
