During my business trip to Kuching, my director chose the Village House for our stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. The tidal pools surrounding huge rocks were home to playful fishes, creating a refreshing atmosphere.

Quite a few of the activities that we did were rather far away, with a 45 minutes drive to the beach.

The units were a nice size and well furnished with good bathroom. I truly enjoyed extremely helpful personnel that ensures guests have a very pleasant stay...

We loved the serene location at the foot of the mountain, with beautiful surroundings and a cozy village feel. The wetlands cruise with John was a must-do activity, offering a unique experience. The pool was fantastic, clean, and well-maintained. Borrowing bikes allowed us to explore the area easily. The decor was beautiful, creating a peaceful and retreat-like atmosphere.

Felt very homey, no complaints.

The room was neat, beautifully maintained and complete with bathroom, tea plus the AC. The location was marvellous and stunning, to Damai beach, in the lovely area.

Stunning location to a lush mountain. Wooden building and rooms with bathroom. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant was nice!

A little small room.

The hotel offers excellent value for money with reasonable prices for their rooms and food. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to provide attentive service. The basic amenities provided in the rooms are of good quality, including comfortable beds and well-maintained bathrooms. Additionally, guests can start their day with a satisfying breakfast served at the hotel.

All aspects of this hotel were satisfactory.

The Village House blends in with charming Santubong Village, I felt like a local! The rooms were cozy and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to leave. The lush tropical garden was like a little paradise.

Oh, how I loved having to leave this delightful hotel! What a disappointment that my stay had to come to an end.

The room we booked was air-conditioned and good-sized with bathroom, TV and comfortable beds. The staff team was very amiable and efficient at any time.

Location: the hotel was adjacent to local seafood restaurants. Also, we could visit a covered mountain, it was 15 minutes' drive away. The food we had was reasonably priced and delicious!

Room for improvement in certain areas.

If you're the type of traveler who likes to explore, there's much to do in this remote kampung area. Take a scenic trek to Mt Santubong or go on a river trip to see Proboscis monkeys. The nearby Orangutan sanctuary is also a must-visit. You'll be dazzled with the lovely design features of the whole place, and the pretty pool with frangipani trees at either end. The communal areas are both comfortable and friendly, and the staff are welcoming.

The food and drink menu isn't always available, and the drinks can take a while to arrive.

Nothing at all.

The hotel is located in a secluded and peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The pool is fantastic and well-maintained, perfect for a refreshing swim in the middle of the day. The greenery and decor of the hotel create a relaxing and serene environment, perfect for a retreat.

The rooms were quite small and the air conditioning struggled to cope with the heat, making it a little uncomfortable at times. The lack of a fridge and tea-making facilities in the room was a bit inconvenient.

Great complementary breakfast and dinner but the view was the best part of the experience. Key location and wonderful surrounding views. Being able to use the pool with a beautiful vista.

Our room was absolutely stuffy and the air conditioning wasn't working. The hot and humid air was suffocating and being unable to breathe well enough made things much worse.
