  We did go to Ao Nang and had a great time but we enjoyed the food at the hotel so much, we ate there for the rest of our stay. The rooms are not huge but you don't need a huge room.

  During our month long holiday touring Thailand and Australia we stopped in numerous 5* accommodation (including the Four Seasons Chiang Mai) and I have to say, the experience we had at the Tubkaak was the highlight of our holiday. The standard rooms, whilst very pleasant are quite small. Because the hotel was quiet when we arrived we enquired about upgrading to one of the larger villas near the beachfront. The standard room cost us 10,000 bht per night. The larger villa should have been an additional 4,000 bht per night but we managed to negotiate them to 3,000 bht extra per night which equates a total cost of around £200 per night (instead of £150 for a smaller room). I'd highly recommend doing this - the room was much larger and the deciding factor for me was when I saw the huge bath tub. All the showers are located in the open air just outside your bathroom but only the villas have the large baths. The staff were extremely attentive throughout our stay.

  We stayed in one of the downstairs rooms and we were really impressed with both the room and the little touches including our honeymoon cake! The staff are lovely and the food at the restaurant is superb. A good mix of Thai and Western food- plenty of variety for about one week. I had a pedicure and my husband had a Thai massage at the Spa- again the staff were lovely.

  Simply the most beautiful location with the most attentive staff you could imagine. You really get the feeling that you are a valued guest at the Tubkaak and the staff do everything they can for you. Dining at the restaurant with the wonderful views is a special experience, and the food is really excellent.

  Our sun, sand & spa getaway at Krabi was one of the best holidays we’ve had in a while. The last minute switch from Tubkaek sunset to Tubkaak Boutique Resort was the best decision we’d made, the deluxe room was tastefully decorated and yet simple enough to manage a 14 month old brat. The staff at the resort had taken all the necessary pains to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We were provided with a complementary baby cot and the room came with an open air bath that was just out of the world and a DVD player that kept our little one busy while we enjoyed the exceptionally breathtaking view from the balcony. The beach bags that were provided were beautiful and had everything you needed to lay down on the beach and relax including a bottle of mosquito repellent, a straw hat, beach slippers and towels. At the paradise island, all we had to do was enter the water and we were flanked by hundreds of fish feeding from our hands and playfully following our moves, a great place for snorkeling & Scuba. The pool is well designed and very relaxing.

  We stayed in the seaview rooms which are about 15 meters from the beach and the resturant and well worth the extra money. The rooms are spacious, very well equiped and very comfortable. The little touches in the rooms included the beach bags ready packed when you arrived, the lovely outdoor bath, fresh flowers and excellent entertainment system. The service at the resort exceeded anything we have experienced in Thailand in the 4 years we have been holidaying there - the resturant staff are amazing, Montree and Jullathong made our wedding anniversary dinner very special and the rest of the team were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Suny, the manager, and his team were always on hand to answer questions and provide recommendations - our welcome and farewell were one of the warmest we've had anywhere in the world.

  Virtually flawless service, excellent food, amazing views and sheik, modern rooms.

  Loved the outdoor bath but would have preferred to have hot water at the bathroom sink for the price, but hey, you cannot have everything!

  Apart from some confusion regarding our transfer from the airport we had excellent service for the week we stayed at Tubkaak. The rooms were well designed and very comfortable. The food was good for 4 nights but after that it is a little repetitive. After dinner you have nowhere to go but bed. Overall though a really good hotel and great service.

  Every member of staff could not do enough to help you.

  Our room was spacious and tidy, with a view over the pool and the green green surroundings. Service at the hotel, from the front desk to the wait staff to the massage therapists was incredibly friendly. The hotel arranged transport to and from Ao Nang for us when we wanted to explore (so not necessary - we should have just hunkered down at Tubkaak the whole time) and also arranged a long tail boat trip to Koh Hong, which was lovely.

  We stayed at Tubkaak from April 13-18 and this hotel by far was the best stay, it was very relaxing and all the staff members were so nice. The food was excellent, the only thing they could do is maybe have a screen set up near the breakfast area because there were alot of gnats around the fruits. They have a library room where you get free internets access, and because there are only about 42 rooms its very personal. The hotel manager Pat was great they would always ask us if we needed anything anytime they saw us. It was very nice and quiet if your looking to relax, we ended up wathcing dvds that you can get from the front desk and taking naps in between our jumps into the pool. If your looking to ride around you should definitely rent the motorbike, its only $10 for 24hours.
