I absolutely loved the traditional decor of the hotel. The exposed brickwork and wooden beams gave it a cozy and charming atmosphere, and the elegant furniture added a touch of sophistication. As a senior woman, I felt comfortable and at ease in these surroundings. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and provided plenty of seating areas for relaxation. I also appreciated the hotel's accessibility for senior people, as there were no steep steps or difficult terrain to navigate.
I would have liked to see more assistance from the staff in terms of helping senior guests with their luggage. It would have been great if there was a more formal arrangement or designated storage area for luggage on the day of checkout.

The villa at The Traditional Homes Of Crete was absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking sea view that instantly put me in a relaxed and peaceful mood. It was the perfect escape from the busy city life. The five bedrooms were elegantly furnished, showcasing the rich history and culture of Crete. The attention to detail was impressive and added a touch of luxury to my stay. The easy access to Spinalonga Island and its stunning beach was a major highlight. I enjoyed exploring the island and soaking up the sun on the beautiful sandy beach.
Personally, I found one feature less enjoyable. However, it's important to note that others may still find enjoyment in it.

I felt like I was in a historical museum with the furniture and cartwheel lighting. The pool and outdoor kitchen were shared, but luckily my co-guests were nice. Mosquitoes were the cherry on top.
Sharing the pool and area with another family was so private, I felt like they were my roommates. The hidden kitchenware in the stove was a fun surprise.

The sea view villa at The Traditional Homes Of Crete was absolutely stunning! The bedrooms were elegantly furnished, showcasing the rich history of the island. As a guest who appreciates beauty and tranquility, I felt completely at peace in this serene environment.
The only drawback I found was that the access to Spinalonga Island and its beach was a bit inconvenient. However, this is just my personal opinion and others might still find it enjoyable.

Stunning views, charming house with comfortable beds, hot water, and quiet nights. Like camping but better.
Toilet and shower facilities were a delight, with sewage leaking and flip flop fashionista moments. Also, poor communication, because who needs a timely response when you're only staying a few days?

Our stay at this traditional house was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in a small hamlet, the location was perfect, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. From the narrow stone steps leading up to the bedrooms to the galley kitchen, every detail was authentically Cretan. Our favorite part was the open-air terrace where we could relax and take in the scenery. Despite some basic facilities, the cozy ambiance made up for it.
The shower could have been better maintained.

there are different levels of rooms and houses located at the hart of local vilages with in the local population and mountain vewu, not far by car to the shore. The service was wery hospitable and the maneger tried to solve every problem to our satisfaction.
the air condition is symbolic , and inspite the internet presentation there is not wi\fi or eny other form of avelable internet on eny of the apartments. the location of the appartments on the mountain side makes it a little hard to get there on foot, and the parking space in the vilage is small and little hard to find.

The home is a work of art in itself, restored to resemble the traditional home of a villager in the 19th century I would say. Of course most of the conveniences of modern life are included. Those who do not like stairs -- even the lovely stone ones through this home that scales a hillside -- might not appreciate the renovation and the architecture involved. It is a great place to relax, and is a 10-minute walk from a beach and swimming. The patio (covered) overlooks Elounda Bay and the surrounding mountains. Wonderful for contemplation as well.

I loved this authentic Cretan house with its unique quirks and cosy atmosphere. The owners were incredibly welcoming and the private pool was a true highlight. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were on point. The location was perfect with easy transportation, a parking spot, and just a short walk to the kitchen area. The fact that it was situated on a slope allowed for stunning views of the landscape.
Almost perfect - I couldn't fault this city if I tried.

Spent Christmas there, and the best aspects of this place were the stunning views on the sea and mountains, which left us breathless. The wooden floors and stone walls added to the charm, and the rooms were spacious. There was also enough ventilation and natural light throughout the day.
The price vs value was not good, as services like towels and sheets weren't changed or cleaned during the four days we stayed there. The rooms were also not well-maintained, with old and worn-out facilities, and the wood constructions made us feel quite uneasy and uncomfortable.

The value for money at this hotel was fantastic, and the room we stayed in was absolutely lovely. The location in a small village was perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and treated us with warmth and hospitality.
The breakfast selection could have been better, with a few more options to choose from.

I recently stayed at a quirky and traditional home in Crete and had a great experience. The atmosphere and genuineness of the house surprised me in a good way. The location offered a nice view of the hills and the constant friendly wind made the terrace and pool area even more enjoyable. The stone walls of the house kept it cool and gave a sense of the traditional architecture in Crete. The terrace was a nice spot to relax with its lovely view. it was a charming place to stay with clean sheets, comfortable beds, hot water, and peaceful nights.

During my recent business trip to Elounda, Crete, I had the pleasure of staying at the Almond Tree traditional swimming pool villa at Traditional Homes Of Crete. This charming villa provided a haven of comfort and a wide range of amenities that truly enhanced my vacation experience. The swimming pool, which is shared with the home of PENELOPE, was just a few meters away, making it convenient for a refreshing swim. , the villa was well-equipped with an oven and barbecue, perfect for enjoying delicious meals in a traditional setting. The attention to detail and commitment to catering to every aspect of my stay was evident throughout the property.
One minor issue I encountered during my stay was the lack of hot water.
