The food was fabulous, and the room was tastefully decorated. Shower facilities and heated floors were a plus. The good location was close to Earthy Foods & Goods.

Great location, it was right by frequent buses and decent options for food and refreshments nearby. Everybody was polite and welcoming and the room was huge.
There was something as breakfast missing.

Clean hotel with perfect location in Edinburgh just next door to bars and pubs with live music lots going on and lots of take aways and the castle. Do recommend to all.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room, located in a separate building, was surprisingly spacious and had a luxurious feel to it. The attention to detail in maintaining the room was evident, despite some minor signs of wear. The location, tucked away in a quiet area, allowed for a peaceful night's sleep and easy access to the city's attractions. The continental breakfast, although slightly pricey, was plentiful and the option to order additional items, like a sausage, was a nice touch.
No complaints at all, everything was just fine.

I woke up for breakfast, to be greeted with the warmth of the glasshouse and that of the other hotel guests. A simple and homely breakfast, that's not too awe-inspiring, but definitely a great start for the day.
To my disappointment, there were no toothbrushes!

A good breakfast to start the day and friendly staff. It is a reasoinably priced b&b (not a Hotel) with excellent bus services into the city very close by. Reasonably close to some good retaurants.
Considering the price per night it would be harsh to be too critical but ---the decor in the room gives a dated feel and it could do with some redecoration and a less cluttered table which one could sit at and write on, get rid of the tv (one watchable channel is barely entertainment) - the bathroom needs to be modernised (tiles need regrouting and fill the hole in the wall by the door). Overall verdict - basic comfort and in need of a redfurb.

Located in a bright conservatory next to the city center, The Thrums Edinburgh offers a convenient base for exploring the bustling streets. A leisurely walk to the royal mile presents a myriad of interesting shops, adding charm to your journey. The large rooms provide ample space to relax, while the excellent shower facilities ensure a refreshing start to your day. Free private parking is an added advantage, giving you peace of mind during your stay.
The lack of proper communication from the staff marred the experience.
