Suites Of 800 Locust Hotel Des Moines - 得梅因

A really nice getaway weekend location in the heart of Iowa.

Our room was a fireplace corner on the 5th floor and was more spacious than expected with a foyer/entrance, adequate sized bathroom and large seating area and bedroom.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable (ask for the corner fireplace suites) with huge bathrooms, and everyone is very friendly.

By far the best in Des Moines and a very comfortable king bed.

Pleasant stay at the Suites of 800 Locust, the room was very large.

We just returned from a one-night stay in a corner fireplace suite (about $275 plus tax), room 311.

The negatives were the lack of restaurant in the hotel, small and often crowded eating area in the lounge for breakfast during prime time, location requires driving to most hot spots for dining and pricey room rate ($229/night).

Additionally this restaurant in Des Moines has the best King Crab Legs.

Full hot breakfast in the morning was served in a small lounge area on the main floor.

They also have a full breakfast now, which was very nice, full chef service with custom eggs made to order, very good breakfast.

However, there were stains on the bedspread and carpet, and there was no restaurant or other services on site.

Spa area good, beautiful hotel and great front desk service.

Interesting views of downtown, wonderful Hotel and the staff at the desk was unfailingly polite.

Large seating area, fine hotel and the staff is always accomodating.

Location requires driving to most hot spots for dining, great place to stay and good spa services.

Adequate quality, beautifully appointed room and the spa contains a wonderful gym.

We took the elevator to the basement to check out the spa room.

The spa contains a wonderful gym, whirlpool and steam room.

The room was very large, clean and comfortable.
