If you have extra money to spend then I would advise you to stay at this hotel.
I suppose if I were here on business it may be different, but for tourists, avoid the location.
It's only about 20 minutes drive from the airport which, when you see the traffic in Kolkata, you'll understand is important.
There is not much public transport around.
Our room was delightful and a spare bed had already been set up for our child.
Massive King bed, tastefully decorated in green and neutral tones.
The bottles of water by my bed were already opened and half consumed.
So, this hotel is highly recommended, really only the Taj is better in Kolkata, has good conference facilities, excellent service, and you can save money by booking a standard room as the executive rooms are just more cost!
The hotel's One Rooms are enormous, more like junior suites, with every comfort you can imagine including a massage chair.
There are several restaurants serving speciality and complex Indian dishes as well as pan Asian (oriental) cuisine.
Food 3/5 (Breakfast os good but stay away from Dumpukt restaurant overpriced and horrible).
Breakfast must be taken in the normal restaurant and no opportunity for a quiet drink after work, yet they charge extra for the "executive floor"!
Also internet access in the room is quite quick and complex Indian dishes as well as pan Asian cuisine.
Food - there are 5/6 restaurants in the hotel and we tried them all.
Superb Hotel Excellent Service, great staff and check-in was very quick.
Great views of the acres of green landscaping, this hotel is the best by far and the staff are all extremely helpful.
Friendly and effective staff rounds your day.
In fact we liked it so much that we are having our wedding reception there in January next year.
The outdoor pool is almost olympic in size and is attached to a luxurious spa, treatment centre and fitness room.
Spa lively bar brilliant restronts, good food and pool facilities fabulous.
Health club and pool facilities fabulous.
Room was comfortable, and it was easy to overlook a few minor upholstery stains because everything was quite clean and the room was large and well equipped.
