Very good service, superior food, good and clear pool, clear rooms with all conveniences. In general, an excellent and enjoyable holiday.

Dirty beach and no sweaming there. Not enough environment for paradise. When we was there only one restaraunt working. A lot of insects and reptiles.

Though they operate on a skeleton staff, the staff were always friendly and willing to assist where they could. In fact the staff in the single restaurant were there every day from early morning till late night, and never seemed to look tired, they were always smiling and helpful. The office staff were also accommodating, helpful and friendly, helping me to change my flight, and book a trip to redang. Also while I was actually not able to get the wireless to connect with my phone, the Internet service provided by the hotel is a plus, particularly since it seems there is no phone range available there.

I don't know if my expectations were not correct but I would expect a hotel in that kind of cost scale to at minimum have more than one choice of food options and a proper beverage selection. The website says there are 3 restaurants, one the beach club seems not to have been operational for some time. The "Fine Dining" restaurant which is billed as having western and Asian cuisine was locked with a padlock, then when I asked if it would be open they opened it revealing a horrible musty smell that indicated it had been quite some time since it was open, only to discover the menu is no different anyway to their standard menu for their only restaurant that serves Asian food, basically 2 types of noodles, 2 types of soup and rice 6 ways...after a few days the menu is exhausted. There is no liquor or cocktails not even gin and tonics etc there is a wine list but most is unavailable, and the 2 that are available were not flash. There is also no staff other than in the restaurant and the office so while it is possible to get food delivered to beach / pool you must first either go to the office or go to your room to call.finally it is a little shabby looking, it must once have been a gorgeous hotel, but it has not been maintained there is black mould on the pool, the grass isn't mowed, and it just has a run down feeling. I have to say I was very disappointed.

The hotel needs a revamp! It does not reflect what it says to offer.. luxury, comfort..I was disappointed to see it in the state that it is. There was no manager on hand (he has resigned). The room was clean to a certain extent. At this point I cannot recommend it to my friends!

Its a quiet place with great environment for a healthy dose of R and R. Far from the madding crowd.

As long one you have the right expectations of the place, there is nothing to complain about.

Disappointed with the beach and lack of things to do in vicinity.(This was low season so little going on at hotel itself) You really need a car to be able to get out and about. Standard of rooms - especially shower/toilets.

The peace and quiet tranquility of the hotel made this a restful place to be. The staff were helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and had good facitilities.

It is perhaps not the place for those seeking action such as jet skis, quadbikes, windsurging ect. Not that this worried us it may not satisfy everyone.

Great hotel - very relaxing and the room was fabulous. We were upgraded to a sea-view room. The location is wonderful.

The massage at the spa was not professional. It would be helpful if more staff could speak English.

Large rooms, nice location for couples looking for relaxation. Location was a bit far away from other places, you're kind of stuck there. Swimming pool was good and clean.

So many insects (mosquito) came in room and can not slept well.

It's remote location and the fact that it's a boutique resort.

The resort has not been maintained and it has a general run-down appearance. Rooms are tired-looking and the beach is not even kept free of rubbish that washes up with the waves. I do note that Aryani has come under new ownership under the Royale Hotel Group (Boustead) and they should have the funds to refurbish the resort to its glory days.

Its location amist beautiful nature, lush green and right next to beach; the friendliness of staff and nice local food, plus the authentic feel of the place.

The poor maintenance, the resort has been neglected on this aspect for many years. Fortunately, there is new management on board and let's hope for the best: that they can convince the owner to invest again in this potentially beautiful resort. Serious investment, dedication to the renovation and good management is all that is needed. The beach is not kept very clean and there is no guardian at the seaside to advise on swimming and to keep an eye on people who do.
