Large bed, vanity, coffee table with chairs, small tv, dresser with kettle and tea, large bathroom.

The four-poster bed had lost it's drapes, the furniture was tatty and had seen better days, and the bathroom desperately needed updating.

The hotel is old and the decor a little dated but slowly and surely the rooms are improving one by one and small details like bed runners, cushions, lamps etc bringing the hotel into the twenty first century.

The room was small for a double - badly organised with a miniature double bed and a wardrobe blocked by an armchair.

Nice en-suite bathroom, the food was excellent.

We decided that the food in the coffee bar, which was open all day and evening, was better than that in the restaurant, but the service in both the bar and the restaurant was excellent.

3 sheets of paper with the restaurant menu on, and that was it, so we had to keep going downstairs to reception to ask times of dinner/breakfast etc.

Breakfasts were fresh, the bistro menu was just large enough to suit our needs.

Restaurant staff in particular are efficient.

When it came to breakfast you can help yourself to cereal and orange juice but unlike just about all other hotels you have to be served a tiny cup off coffee or tea and you can just get up help yourself to more.

Much better value for the money in Chi at the carveries, staff friendly and nice new manager too so good luck to him.

In a modern style, perfect place to stay sightseeing in Sussex or visitng friends and the staff could not have been better.

The staff are mostly very helpful, the food is very good.

The staff polite, big windows and buffet was good too.

The pictures of the hotel looked fantastic and staff excellent.

The service is friendly and familiar and the coffee shop very pleasant to sit it and read a paper with a hot drink.

Doubling as a Christian conference centre, the lobby has some tracts on display, but otherwise its dual role is unobtrusive.

Lounge areas were spotless, service was good and the room we had was very large.

The hotel is very nice, the bathrooms are fantastically clean.
