I am not sure of the value of this hotel (i didn't pay) but if i do return to Orlando I would consider staying here.
This goes without saying that you obviously will spend an incredible amount of money at this hotel; however, I did not feel like they nickle and dimed me the entire time.
All in all a lovely hotel if you have the money to splash out on something a bit more upmarket.
To sum up this has to be the best hotel in Orlando,and possibly one of the best in the world!
3) Don't worry about the location - this is perfectly situated between the airport (15 minutes), SeaWorld (1 minute), WDW (15 min) and Univ (15 min).
I frequent most of the Florida Ritz-Carlton locations for both business and pleasure, however this was my first visit to the Orlando Grande Lakes location.
The service is great, the rooms are huge, the location is fantastic - what more can I say BOOK, BOOK, BOOK!
My taxi ride from a stand at the airport was $45 with tip.
No rentals are on-site at the airport so you need to take the dreaded bus.
There was the kids' room with a full bath, the living area with a half bath and wet bar area, then the master bedroom with a king bed and an oversized bathroom that included a bath, separate LARGE shower and makeup/vanity area.
Heavenly beds and bedding, but the housekeeper made up our room at 5pm every day - then 2 hours later returned to turn down the bed.
The bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom, with a separate toilet room.
Bathroom toilet seat falling off, light bulbs needed replacing and, under bed, there was garbage and slippers from previous guests.
The room offered 4 bottles of free water, 2 double beds, flat-screen TV, suit hanger, double-door closet, and the Bathroom was the best part.
Food was fine, we did not eat at Normans, but the food in the casual restaurant was good for daily breakfast.
We ate at the club level throughout the day (morning breakfast through evening deserts) but had diner at recommended favorite restaurants (Charlies, Moon Fish, Emeril's reaturant at Royal Pacific hotel, Abice at Portofino Hotel).
The breakfast buffet area is a bit small for the size of the dining room, which may be the reason they require you to wait 10 to 15 mins to be seated when the restaurant is half empty.
I can't comment on the breakfast in the restaurant since we never had breakfast on the property but lunch in the restaurant by the pool was always great.
The only restaurant we ate at was the Vineyard Grill for breakfast.
Housekeeping, room service, concierge, Bell Captains, Receptionist were all friendly, welcoming and totally professional.
Service was excellent from the registration and concierge staff, but the valet parking (and there is no other kind!
If you get a treatment you can use the spa pool & gym for the rest of the day, service here was very good.
I don't quite understand the negative reviews, everything was nearly perfect from check-in to the concierge, from housekeeping to the club lounge offerings, from room service to the Sunday brunch, from the service at the pool to the wonderful spa.
Two hotels, a JW Marriott and a Ritz Carlton comprise a large shared property incluing gym, two pool areas, spa and golf course.

Several times I needed housekeeping to make a special trip: to clean up a broken glass, replace a malfunctioning iron, provide a late room cleaning, etc.
The staff were excellent and the room was delightful and very clean as usual, but that was about it.
Rooms are clean, nicely appointed, but much smaller than I am used to.
I will say that the room was clean and the maids did come in twice a day as advertised.
We stayed in room 415 which was a lovely clean spacious room with a fantastic view of the lake and a lovely balcony to sit out.
