Great base for exploring Fortuna. Huge and cheap rooms available with an iffy shower, coffee maker and 3 big suitcases. Great location so close to the restaurant nearby, and nature and dinner.

It was a motel as you would expect. The room was very big. Breakfast was served a bit more environmentally friendly. There was only a pot of peanut butter and jam where you could fill something. There weren't hundreds of small extra packs. There were hard plastic dishes and real cutlery. Everything was washed off later. It was a dog friendly hotel. Although I am very afraid of dogs, I consider it positive. They had their own garden with a fence, but I think it was nonetheless a linen requirement.
I would have liked to know beforehand that this is such a dog-friendly hotel. Due to my great fear, I didn't dare to leave the room alone. We had the room right in front of the garden exit for the dogs. Had I known that beforehand, I would have asked for a different room. But I don't blame the hotel in the above evaluation as negative, because otherwise I liked everything very much.

Evening shift girl was very nice.
Pool and hot tub not working. Food was just ok. Food was not ready and they kept running out of food. Too expensive for what you got.

Reception staff were very helpful
Not very clean or comfortable. Very noisy at night with people walking about, babies crying, dogs barking. Stop in Eureka or Ferndale instead!
