The hotel was in a great location, close to other areas and local sights. There was a very nice coffee shop next door. I greatly enjoyed the breakfast with a wide range of outstanding food.

We had a REALLY LOVELY stay that exceeded all expectations, would definitely go back. Everything was superb for our purposes, one night. Convenient location, the free parking was available. It was also so close to a very nice coffee shop next door, North Wales, Chester and Liverpool and a restaurant outside Chester.
No negatives from this place.

I really enjoyed the place and had an excellent stay during my short visit. The location to different pubs was marvelous. It was also just off North Wales, Chester, and Liverpool, Cheshire Oakes outlet, and especially the church.

We stayed at The Red Lion for a few nights while visiting the area. The spacious family room was perfect for us and had the biggest bathroom we've ever seen! The ongoing decoration work due to a bath leak didn't bother us, as the price reflected this. The service was attentive and the breakfast was massive. The family running the pub were incredibly sweet, offering transportation and inviting us to join their trivia game. We'll definitely return if we're in the area again.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at a charming pub called The Red Lion. The family that runs it is incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. They even arranged transportation for me and invited me to join in on a trivia game. The rooms were clean and cozy, with everything I needed. Despite being located inside a pub, there was very little noise from the pub or the street. a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes. 😊

The room at this charming village pub was surprisingly spacious, offering more space than some top hotels. Guests have praised the comfortable beds, resulting in a wonderful night's sleep. The owners went above and beyond in accommodating guests' needs, offering lifts and allowing early access to rooms. The drinks at the pub are reasonably priced, adding to the value of the stay.
One minor inconvenience is the town hall clock chimes on the hour, including throughout the night.

Quaint village location near Chester. Picturesque surroundings with friendly locals. Quirky rooms and clean bathrooms with good shower options. Comfy beds and helpful staff. Great value for money and convenient for exploring Chester and North Wales.

I absolutely loved the charming and cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The traditional decor, with its vintage furniture and beautiful paintings, made me feel right at home. The communal areas were well-maintained and had plenty of seating, perfect for us senior folks to relax and chat.
It would have been even better if there were more handrails and grab bars in the common areas and hallways. As a senior woman, I appreciate the extra support to move around safely.

Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious, and had new furnishings. Bed was comfortable and the building had unique hallways. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. Location was ideal for horse riding with nearby amenities and a lively pub.
