Great location, access to nearby tourist attractions were excellent and part of the hotel staff was very friendly.

The location of the hotel is nothing less than spectacular.

Superb location in the old town, a really beautiful hotel and the historic building quite romantic.

It has a good, although rather noisy location.

We only got a definitive answer at the Zagreb airport.

We got the Gundilic suite (no room numbers, names of famous Croatians, he's a writer), which was a large room bisected by a table/TV into a bed area and a sitting area.

I eventually got to bed, and was disgusted by a liquid that I could only hope was water in the bed sheets.

The helpfull staff and the bed is very comfy.

Very tasteful decorations, a two-foot wide balcony if you wanted to use it - it overlooked the square with the morning fruit/vegetable market (and a statue of Gundilic), and the softest bed in Croatia.

We had a lovely stay/nice food/wine/excursions but this was ruined by a defective aircondition unit on the roof over our room on the last night which ment that i slept in the bath and my wife read her book all night.

Good quality breakfast was provided at a restaurant facing a square, staff were very helpfull and friendly.

The food was better than at any other restaurant we visited.

The restaurant and food service are not at the same level as the hotel.

The hotel is expensive, but, having stayed in similarly priced hotels throughout the world, it is well worth it - the rooms are delightful, the service outstanding, the breakfasts are huge and with an extensive range of food.

Helpful staff and breakfast was really good.

However, if you expect any type of service (or even a response) from staff, forget about it.

The staff, in particular, were exceptionally helpful, with directions, dinner reservations, suggestions of local shops, etc.

Our experience found the staff to be friendly and extremely corteous, willing to provide beach towels, eager to call local restaurants to secure reservations and excited to share some of Dubrovnik's secrets with their guests.

We found the staff helpful and cheerfull but the management unhelpfull.

For example, they have a nice rooftop terrace restaurant (much better than the one from the lobby extening into the plaza).

My only non-financial complaint was that you're on your own when it comes to parking.

The lobby noise also resonated all through the stone building.
