PS great location to visit the very impressive Corfe Castle and friendliest hotels I have had the good fortune to stay in.
We actually enjoyed this aspect of it and most of them were excellent and the location, food, rooms and general ambience more than make up for it.
In a good location, the hotel is really lovely and the staff are excellent - very attentive.
I arrived in Wareham station quite late in the evening and there were no taxis.
It had a giant bed and was beautifully furnished with a window seat and windows facing front and side.
The room was clean, a good size (if a little chintzy for my taste, but you adapt to your surroundings) and the bathroom fresh and new with a lovely big window out to the sky.
Having a comfortable bed, a gorgeous restaurant.
Beautiful bed-linen and the retaurant serves excellent food.
Our room was spacious and very clean (we booked the suite).
Dinner food is absolutely top notch - always excellent, interesting and imaginative without being too exotic, thought the restaurant is a little cramped and the table at the bottom of the stairs (it's in the cellar) can be draughty!
At breakfast the staff were kind and patient and the breakfast itself was delicious.
Not near any useful mirror and great breakfast.
The dinner and service in the very atmospheric and romantic cellar restaurant was wonderful, with so much attention to detail.

Cheerful service, the bathroom was big and modern, at breakfast the staff were kind.
We waited in reception for several minutes trying to get the receptionist's attention but was told he had something 'important' to do.
The service was impecable, all the staff very amiable.

The fact that, if sitting outside, any crying baby can be taken 50 meters away and out of earshot to watch the punters on the River Frome, is clearly so logical as to ironically leave the staff completely perplexed.
Service quality is certainly the best in Dorset, and possibly the best on the south coast of England.
Car parking can be a bit of a jostle - they could do with opening up some more space, but it would be a pity to spoil the garden - need a bit of imagination here.
The usual friendly staff and the room was clean.
Room was clean and comfortable, the dinner in the cellar restaurant was absolutely brilliant and delicious.
Good service and the bathroom fresh and new.
