• From Ireland,Stayed here 5 nights in October and have to say that I found everything to be excellent and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a great place to stay.

  Service was fine as regards the front desk and the breakfast but a comment must be made about the bar, where a wait of fifteen minutes for a pint was not uncommon. The pool was also very nice and overall it was a pleasant stay.

  IWe stayed in this hotel for eight nights as part of a tour group and our room was very spacious. I can understand that a room may not be ready for an eleven o'clock check in but we arrived at 1. One of the receptionists was going to write another voucher before the manager came and tore it up and told us to sit down and wait in the lobby in a most rude manner. The window faced onto a service lane with a wall three feet from our window and that was it. The room was about a fifth the size of the one we had previously occupied.

  All the staff were extremely courteous and polite and eager to help. The rooms were extremely comfortable and room service did a fantastic job daily. I found the staff quite unfriendly and unwilling to help. Other than that, the staff throughout the hotel and leisure centre were marvellous and made my stay there a pleasure.

  The staff was excellent and very hard working. Gym was great with a good number of machines, separate weight room and dance area. The room we ended up in also had sheer drapes that were not clean.

  Did not see the sauna, hot tub or steam room. The first room we got had a dirty carpet and we couldn't get the safe to work. The second room we got was slightly better.

• I scoured the Internet and found that for $139 a night we could get a room on the Executive floor that also included the buffet breakfast in one of the hotel restaurants. The room that we were given for the tour was smaller and did not have the nice feather pillows and duvet cover. Probably the worse part of the hotel stay was the horrid breakfast buffet that you have included with the tour. When you pay for the Executive floor you are allowed to go to the Cafe and eat their breakfast buffet which is awesome.

  They have someone making omelets, the food is hot and fresh, and there are many more choices.

• The room was very nice but the a/c was not working which was a problem for the first two days due to heat and humidity. We found the indoor pool to be clean and the excercise room to be adequate.

• The staff are gracious and very, very helpful. The baths are lovely as well -- with many amenities such as robes, toothbrushes, combs, etc. The lobby is just fabulous and at night they have a live pianist playing for the enjoyment of all as they sip cocktails or just stroll through. The hotel's restaurant is fine -- a buffet style set up with a variety of breakfast offerings and at night a wonderful Chinese noodle display.

• Hotel lobby is gorgeous, lots of marble, Grecian columns, gold leaf and beautiful several story tall mural of birds. Room was smallish, but well laid out with nice interior design and appointments. Buffet breakfast was in a bright cheery room. They were very professional and catering to every need.

  Contacted reception during stay on 2 occasions looking for help and they dealt with my requests in a friendly and efficient manner. Hotel staff are very helpful regarding info on travelling in Beijing and will give you a paper slip with address of anywhere you wish to go for taxi and also slip with hotel address for your return. Swimming pool complex located on 4th floor which is clean and friendly with poolshoes and towels provided. Subway station and shopping mall located as follows:out main door turn left and left again, go over pedestrian bridge to diagonally opposite side by McDonalds and here you will find these. Excellent hotel that I could not fault in the least.

  I can think of no better compliment to pay the Presidential Plaza than to spread the word that it must be the best hotel in Beijing. Thoroughly enjoyed my room with the double bed, safe, tea things and the multi -channel television. It was quiet in the room and everything worked.

  When our tour of 19 souls arrived late that evening in April, tired and weary after a long flight from North America, we were immediately shown to the escalator where our check-in was fast tracked through the reception desk on the second floor. Not once was I ignored, sloughed off or given insufficient information.
