    Location is the best, the hotel is elegant and rates are extremely reasonable.

    The location is great too, the hotel is well located among nice shops and the Staff are very Friendly and Helpful.

    The location of this hotel is right by the pier, as the name suggests, and close to the downtown area.

    The location is unbeatable - you are only a couple of blocks from everything in town and we walked to dinner every night.

    But the best part of my stay was the location.

    I went with my boyfriend to St pete for a job interview and we choose The Pier Hotel because of its location.

    A nice king sized bed, with plenty of room to walk around, clean bathroom and I didn't hear a peep all night (no doors slamming or footsteps, etc.

    It was decent, the room was fine, we had a single room with a king size bed, air conditioning, free local phone calls, t.

    The hotel was quiet and the bedroom was home to a beautiful king size bed.

    Our son slept in the room with the sofa bed.

    The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.

    Also Dan Mario's restaurant is within walking distance " great food by the way.

    The breakfast was plentiful and the 'Happy Hour' (which was really 2 hours) gave guests a chance to meet up and chat over drinks and nibbles.

    The morning continental breakfast was splendid.

    Free local phone calls and good restaurants.

    The staff is always extremely friendly, high speed internet and the breakfast is nice carb heavy.

    Very cool historic hotel, the front desk staff was helpful and that the room was beautiful.

    The front desk staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the area and they are around all the time.

    It has no Elevator but That didn't bother us.

    They don't have an elevator, but they only have 3 floors.

    Housekeeping was responsible but you have to remind them of stuff.

    The internet did not work: they never seemed to be able to get me a password that worked for wireless, and there was no signal on the ethernet.

    The bathrooms are small but newly done and very clean.

    The staff is attentive and the rooms are clean and bright.

    We stayed in room 301 and it was cosy, comfy, clean and quiet.

    The rooms are spotless, though remember that it is an old hotel and there are no elevators (two flights of stairs at the maximum is easy to manage even for the seniors!

      Great centralized location,15 minutes to the beach 5 minutes walk to the pier shopping and dining.

      No view from window except for run down building next door.

      Very helpful staff, complimentary breakfast and afternoon wine or beer was a nice touch. Great downtown location for shopping, museums, etc. Short drive to beaches and state parks.

      Great location and don't stay for a long stay. Nice period music playing in the lobby, our exceptional service and the room was romantic and spacious. The morning continental breakfast was splendid.

      The location is easily the best bit about as its right in the middle of all, the hotel is elegant and the staff is warm and helpful. High speed internet and the free breakfast is the same everyday.
