Peabody Hotel Memphis - 孟菲斯

We very much enjoyed our room (clean & quiet), the location (close to Beale Street), the ducks (cute!

The location is excellent - but then again there are many other hotels in the vicinity - a short walk away from the clubds on Beale Street.

However, the location is close to Beale Street, which is very touristy, but fun.

Drove a car from Memphis airport - an easy twenty minute freeway drive.

If you are like us and like beautiful hotels I would stay at the Peabody without a doubt and then get a cab to Elvis Presley Boulevard for your fix!

The check-in clerk was indifferent and only coded one of the keys correctly, and when I got to the room I had the feeling that someone else had checked in and rejected the room - trash on the bed, used towel in the bathroom, etc.

The room was very clean with many extra touches and the bed was the most comfortable ever, even compared with the special beds of another luxury hotel chain.

The lobby and meeting rooms of the Peabody are wonderful, but the room I had was quite a contrast - fraying carpet, peeling bathtub, dirty and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom.

There was a large stain on the carpet, the window was filthy and the room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable and the curtains kept out all of the light in the morning, a plus for a late night out.

THe bathroom was large in area, for what reason I am not sure because there was no tub, just a shower, toilet, one sink, and a piddly black and white television with terrible antenna reception.

We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and again received good service and good food.

The hotel's restaurants are very poor value and I would not pay what they ask for a meal with all of the other great places to eat nearby.

I'm not sure which restaurant the food is coming from, but it needs help.

I have dined in the Grill restaurant and found the food to be acceptable.

The food in the Capriccio restaurant was very good, US size helpings but good quality!

With the exception of the front desk and the concierge who seemed disinterested and not very knowledgeable, the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Everyone, housekeeping, room service, front desk, cocktail servers, bell men, gift shop cashiers you name it - the staff was incredible.

This Hotel is certainly the best place to stay in Memphis, with all the expected facilites of a hotel of this standard, including a good pool and Gym.

Forget valet parking, it's cheaper and very easy to self park in the car park attached to the hotel, which also has a walkway to the hotel lobby.

The gym and pool area had plenty of equiptment, was clean and comfortable, and even offered complimentary bottled water and snacks to anyone exercising.

The rooms are well appointed and have everything you expect in a business hotel, including high speed wireless Internet.

95 hotel fee for use of the athletic club, wireless internet, a daily newspaper (which we didn't receive), morning coffee from 5:30 to 7:00 a.

My room was a nice size, clean and well stocked with area guides, etc.

Room was beautiful - classic - elegant - clean.

The Peabody Hotel looks good from the inside, the staff was very warm and friendly, the room was very clean.

The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, one day our room was never cleaned.

Beautiful clean rooms and we retired to the private bar for a martini.
