This large, bustling hotel has a great location with Millenium Park, the Art Institute, and restaurants within walking distance. The El is adjacent. The fitness center is top-notch, the lobby is grand, and it's undergoing renovations. Rooms are hit or miss, though. Some are small and stuffy, and the service is mediocre. There are plans for a new spa.

The hotel was great, the Palmer House was absolutely wonderful and the price did not come up on The Palmer's reservation as the price that was promised.
The lobby smelled heavenly as a result of the floral displays, front desk staff were quite good and the room was nice.
The location is great and the lobby is one of the most wonderfully elegant settings in Chicago.
