Good ambiance. Nice room. Good meal and bar facilities.

No easy on site parking, No guest computer for those who did not have their own with them.

It is very luxurious, a great bed, nice thick towels, and very good service. The staff were very friendly. The food was outstanding, much better than I expected.

The lighting in the bathroom was quite dim. I did not like having to pay extra for coffee to be delivered in the morning. They might consider putting in those little convenient coffee pots.

      Clean Room

On the 6th floor in my room I could feel the music from downstairs in the club through my pillow. Hotel probably makes more in the club than you do from the rooms. but something to think about. Also when the crowd got out at 1:30am the noise was too much from the street. i would book rooms on the opposite side of the hotel from the "front" of the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights.

The bed and pillows were super comfortable, the look and design of the whole hotel down to the details was well-thought out and very attractive. It is easily the most stylish and happening spot in Bakersfiedl.

While the cost of the room was reasonable considering how nice the room and place was, I felt like the hotel nickels and dimes you on anything extra. If you want coffee or a newspaper, it's an extra five dollars. They have valets greet you to take your car, but that's 10 dollars added to your account when parking isn't that hard to find around the hotel. When you get petty over little items, that takes away from the luxury feel.

Splendid remake. Exquisite description of the hotel's history. Great, humorous style.

Lovely Art Deco Hotel in Luxurious surroundings.

Not a complaint. Just an observation. We arrived from la at 1.30pm and wereasked to sit in the lobby until 3.30pm, until our room was ready. I know we were early, which is initself absurd, but the staff didnt even offer to mind our bags while we went to the bar, so we sat for 2 hours in the lobby.

Stayed in this hotel as an overnighter to break up drive from Yosemite to Las Vegas. It's a contemporary haven in a large industrial town. The rooms were fab - large with well designed bathrooms and comfy beds. Facilities on site such as bars and grill excellent. Did'nt try the restaurant but looked fab and reasonably priced for it's upmarket look and menu. Valet parking was efficient and friendly. Has a quirky history which I liked.

Can't fault the hotel - loved it but it is in a city off the tourist trail. If you need to go to Bakersfield this should be top of your list of places to stay - may not be the cheapest room you can get in Bakersfield but for quality and style well priced.

Room was spacious and airy and light.

Parking fee. Dark bathroom...needs more lighting.

Padre is a beatifully renovated vintage hotel in a rural city. Very pleasant, great service, very good food.

The windows of the room could not be opened.

I love the staff they are amazing! The food is good also. The decor of the Hotel is great.

The Padre is a great Hotel but a few minor details could make it better. One is to have housekeeping make sure everything is in working order before guest check-in, We have stayed there 4 or 5 times in the last 2 months all but one time the phones were not working properly or at all. The rooms are beautiful but some of them do not have phones by the bed which would make it more convenient. Also, having movies to rent on TV would be really nice. We travel alot and these are some things we really look for in a Hotel. Also, in some of the rooms the airconditioning is not that great. A workout room would be nice on premises too! The prices are a little high I think for Bakersfield.

Noise. It was more like a night club/bar with rooms rather than a hotel. Smoking outside the main entrance upon arrival that was most offputting. All staff came across as inexperienced. Hotel corridors should be closely monitored for noise & people using bar & the night club. From a previous stay & complaint staff should ensure that any further actions re; room requirements etc are met.

Small and comfortable. Close to event. Friendly service.

Phone not close to bed. No Adult channels. Some noise at night. Up on the 8th floor sounded like a racing car was passing by

      pretty room and nice staff!

WE were not informed that there is a VERY loud DISCO at the bottom of the hotel that literally shakes the rooms until after 2am EVERY Saturday and FRIDAY nights. NOT ROMANTIC!
