The location is great - right on the Betwa River and steps from the Cenotaphs.
We had a room overlooking the pool which is probably your best choice.
The rooms have all the standard things that we westerners want but it does have the usual very firm mattresses that the Indians seem to like.
The place itself is comfortable (soft beds), fairly pretty and has a good pool.
The tub was a bit weird, but perfectly fine.
The room was newly painted and very nice.
So on the whole it is completely adequate (btw - the breakfast pancakes are nice) but avoid the restaurant and have tip money ready.
The pool area was nice, but the staff could not understand why we wanted to eat outside in the lovely garden rather than in the pokey old-fashioned restaurant!
The restaurant is vegetarian and quality wise ok but not brilliant.
The fellow in the gift shop was very friendly and took us for a bit of a walking tour in town and never once asked for or expected money.
K but the food prices were high compared to other places we stayed in India.
But the food is extremely average - while overpriced, the staff tend to be either a) grumpy, b) pretentious and all want tips for pretty well anything and everything (out favorite was being expected to tip for having our hot water fixed).
The staff were a bit dismissive, but perfectly capable and we had no problems.
We did have a problem with one of the senior male staff using their mobile phone to take pictures of my teenage daughters as they walked back from the pool.
The pool area was very nice and the pool looked very clean.

It was clean, modern and had a pool. This kind of behaviour is what you expect from the boys on the street with their mobile phones and so you dress accordingly.
