leaving. I found the staff had no time for you. Nobody seemed to understand you. The menu's gave different times when you could last order. I believe the hotel is under staffed and a language barrier is a problem

warm reception, excellent meal, attention to detail in respect of visitors'requests, good location for visiting Norwich (bus stop opposite hotel)

insufficient signage - to indicate the turning off main road.

A marvellous find, made our few days in Norfolk very enjoyable. The evening meal was fantastic and breakfasts are really tasty. A lovely calm atmosphere and really clean and tidy.

An extremely comfortable hotel, spotlessly clean. The proprietor and staff made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. We can really recommend a stay at this hotel.

The food was very good in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bedroom was very clod and we had to fiddle with the thermostat in the hallway to get the room warm.

Hotel was beautiful, very comfortable large rooms, felt like real luxury! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was fantastic too!

Only a very minor grumble which wasn't the fault of the hotel. Someone within hearing distance of the hotel decided to do some DIY into the early hours of the morning which kept me awake. I could only hear it because it was very hot and I had the window open. Couldn't hear it with the window closed though so normally this wouldn't be a problem. Apparently the nearby railway sometimes has works going on.

The Old Rectory is in a great location for Norwich City Centre but is surrounded by a beautiful garden (with swimming pool) which makes it feel quite rural. The building itself is beautiful and the rooms have been well decorated in keeping with the style and period of the house. What really made our stay, however, was the food and service. The owner and all the staff were very welcoming and the standard of service very high. The evening meal was superb and breakfast also very good. We would certainly go back if we wanted to stay in the Norwich area.

The location & Quality of the Hotel were 1st class, this enabled us to relax and see a part of the U.K we hadn't been to before. We would highly recomend this hotel to anyone looking for a city/countryside break.

The friendliness of all the staff was lovely, the room, and bed was exrememly comfortable and the standard of the meals was outstanding. The Hotel is ideally situated for both looking around Norwich, and touring the surrounding area. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to my friends.

Really appreciated the hospitality, the building, the cleanliness, lovely room with a comfortable bed. We only stayed one night and the dinner was wonderful. Thank you Chris. Our hosts and our waitress at dinner were all very friendly. we will definitely visit again.

There was the sound of the boiler? during the night and I would have preferred fresh juice at breakfast.
