Movie Colony Hotel Palm Springs - 棕榈泉

The location means great bars and restaurants are within walking distance, and the Hotel is adjacent to the upscale “Movie Colony” neighborhood filled with stunning private estates and the Ruth Hardy Park that makes for great morning walks.

The location was within walking distance of downtown shopping and restaurants, plus the gorgeous Las Palmas (Movie Colony) neighborhood is just northwest of the hotel and makes for a good morning walking area.

The location is great because is close to all the good restaurants and the place is awesome.

The location is handy, being so close to downtown restaurants.

The airport security confiscated my toothpaste at airport so staff came up with two small travel tubes for me, mailed post cards for me, called cabs, made arrangements for airport pick up, gave directions and information freely.

There are shutters and windows in the living room, upper hall, bathroom, and bedroom that open fully for a great cross breeze (yes, there is air conditioning/heating up and down but with 80 degree weather it wasn't necessary).

The staff is very friendly and bed is comfortable only discrepancy is our rooms was not insulated very well.

Rooms are simple but very clean ,crisp and comfortable and all have a king bed.

Our room had a fabulous (and huge) terrace, plantation shutters, and a very comfortable bed.

There are various shops and restaurants to choose from, highly recommend.

The location is exceptional, just a couple of blocks from the main drag in Palm Springs (full of schlocky shops and a few decent restaurants).

We like to walk, and found the Movie Colony's location great for walking to the shops and restaurants on Palm Canyon Drive.

The location of the hotel is also great, a short stroll to all of the shops and restaurants.

The breakfast was nice; fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt & bagels.

We spoke to the front desk staff in the morning, who moved us to a FANTASTIC room for the following night, free of charge.

I can't write enough great things about this hotel, I enjoy finding a hotel that really does offer great service and good deals, I believe this one has it all!

Bruce and the rest of the staff went out of their way to learn the guests' names and offered terrific suggestions for things to see and do around Palm Springs.

We loved this place and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for somewhere cool, laid-back and relaxed - the lack of staff in the evening was a bonus which just made the place feel more homely and super private.

No waiting for the elevator in the lobby (there isn’t one), no crowded or expensive parking lots (free and convenient), no endless hallways with commercial carpet, and no nasty little rooms without windows.

However, we often found ourselves hanging around the hotel, drinking cocktails around the fire pit, lounging by the pool, or relaxing on our spacious terrace.

The room we had, a terrace, was simple but clean and well kept and there is nice little pool which we relaxed by, most of the time on our own.

The room was extremely comfortable and clean, and restful.

Our traditional hotel went out of business, the staff was always very friendly and the rooms were so clean.
