This amazing resort has incredible snorkeling, a gorgeous beach, and great golfing on lava beds. There is a lot of sea life around in the ancient fish ponds here. Some critics feel that this hotel is showing its age and needs to be remodeled. The service is very good, the dining is delightful, and the rooms are amazing. There's a spa that has some treatments in huts.

                Very nice atmosphere without too much formality and beautiful rooms. Great mai tais at pool bar, very good food and gym ample and comfortable.

                The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and the beach was excellent, the bathroom was gorgeous.

                The conceriage staff were not very friendly and a one in particular not knowlegable at all, the food and service were only mediocre.

                The hotel upgraded us to a ocean view and the view was awesome, the spa was relaxing, the golf excellent, and the bed was comfortable.

                Very good beach area, definitely worth a stop here and i traveled to the big island last August to celebrate our honeymoon. Very nice place for not over the top price, great breakfast buffet and Canoe house for dinner, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and local calls are free.

                The balcony was a nice size and we had a gorgeous ocean view from our 5th floor room, beach were fantastic, breakfast was included and was served in a very attractive outdoor setting. The food was great too, make sure to go to the canoe house, the price was reasonable and the service was spectacular all around. The bed was very comfortable, the drinks were strong and delicious, the way the manager handled the complaint was very professional.

                Nice location and beach perfect. The hotel was not crowded and as for the food, we thought our meal at the Canoe House was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive, concierge was helpful.

                The pool area was spacious, pretty and quiet, and the beach access to snorkeling was great, the Bay Terrace had an excellent breakfast and you could order off the menu, and 2) since the Big Island was our 2nd stop in our vacation we planned to do laundry at the hotel. Maid service was very good, some employees were wonderful and the room was gorgeous and huge. The food was delicious and spa was awesome.

                Best on the big island, the location is fabulous, I had a great view of the ocean and the mountains, the interior of the hotel is elegant and well maintained. The staff is very nice, the room is lovely; and the bathroom superb, breakfast is priced at 18 dollars for continental buffet. The facilities are good.

                Great snorkeling on beach and the view from our room was spectacular. The hotel itself was beautiful and service at check in was fantastic. The balconies were nice sized and the staff were very courteous and the food was delicious.
