The Marmara Pera Hotel was opened in 2004 and has been a popular choice with globetrotters ever since. Rooms are small but well furnished, offering magazine selection, pillow menu and white linen. It hosts one of the best restaurants of the city, Mikia, a rooftop pool bar with excellent views, and a 24-hour fitness center. It’s well worth it to rent a room on one of the higher floors to be able to take in the excellent views.

Getting there

From the Istanbul Atatürk Airport take taxi, express bus service or metro to the city center. International trains from Europe arrive at the station in Sirkeci. Asian trains arrive at Haydarpasa station. From Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, take either Havaş bus to the city center or public bus line #E10. The latter reaches Kadıköy in 70 minutes. Shuttle services are also available at a cost of €10.
