The Maninarakorn Hotel

The hotel was in an excellent location, very close to the main night market street that is in action every night.

It was very good value, in a good location in Chiang Mai (very near the town centre).

As with other reviews the hotel has its good points – great location between old city and night bazaar, bank and seven eleven out the front, breakfast was simple but nice, free internet etc.

We called on the morning of the 13th to confirm pickup from the airport and they had no record of our booking.

The busy road is handy as it's easy to get a taxi or Tuk Tuk out the front.

I booked a suite room, this room was massive (60ish sqm), king size bed and very well set out and appointed.

The only drawbacks about the suite is the absence of a bathtub and the relatively hard, and low bed.

The room was like a mini apartment with a sitting area separate from the bedroom.

The accommodation was excellent – we had the first night in a suite (booked through Booked.net – about £45pn including taxes), and the remaining three in a standard room (c.

Bed is a little hard, but common for asia i guess.

There's a breakfast buffet which had a really good choice of food.

The breakfast are varied including cereals,fruit ,cooked food including bacon,eggs,omlettes ,toast etc they are topped up regular and plentiful.

The breakfast was DISGUSTING and even the eggs were cold, and all we could eat was a piece of toast and two slices of pineapple!

Breakfast was fine - normal hotel fare, do ask for the Omelet as this wasv ery tasty and they cooked with no problem.

Breakfast was good and the pool was clean and quiet.

We booked this hotel after walking in and viewing one of the rooms & checking out the reception service.

As we have picked up a few Thai phrases over 8 years I am sure this helps with the level of friendliness and service we experienced and had a great stay and the price amazing.

The staff were very professional and friendly.

Staff are some of the friendliest i have encountered anywhere.

There's a small pool, gym and sauna which is nice also.

The pool was small with an odd Jacuzzi which looked more like a house bath.

Only cold water is available in the spa area (if you could call it a spa - basically a steam room and a sauna to fit no more than 2 persons without feeling uncomfortable).

The room had a cheap feel to it but was clean.

Very clean, nice Bathroom and at least on a 4 Star Level.

The delux room we had was spacious and very clean.
