Ok this hotel is not cheap but in a lot of hotels that are above average in price (and particular the larger chains) you wonder where your money is going.
Incredibly overpriced hotel, the true value per night is a least 150.
This is my second stay at the hotel, in 5 years, the hotel is still a beauty when it comes to the lobby and the entrance and garden, the rooms are good, but, all of this comes at an unbelivable price that beats even paris and london hotel prices!
I hired a driver from the hotel to drive me round Bangalore and see the main sights and this cost about £15 for four hours, which I thought was good value.

If you are going to bangalore on business then location should be your main concern as it takes so long to drive around the city but if your with an hour and a half of the leela this should be the default choice.
Awesome location and absolutely beautiful hotel.
One other word of caution, currently it is very close to Bangalore airport, but the new airport is 40-50km out of the city so with Bangalore's traffic problems this hotel may lose some of its current convinience.
We were bumped from our flight at the airport.

The room I had was well equipped having just been refurbished (I was the first guest in apparently) It was comfortable and the bed was a delight to sleep in, the bathroom was just beautiful and a joy after a long day in the heat.
The bathroom is well above average, with plenty of room, a separate room for the toilet, and a walk in shower as well as a tub.
The rooms (expecially in the "new" wing, where I was) are simply wonderful, with lots of space, grand bathroom, nice sitting area and huge flatscreen TV on the wall (not that there are many programs in English, and unfortunately no in-suite movies.

The rooms in Royal Club are spacious, offering every comfort required for a stay in India and the floor 5 restaurant was very good, especially for breakfast.
Multiple restaurant options and the bar at the Leela is also very nice.
Leela does rank much higher in restaurant and bar facilities and overall atmosphere though.

The decor is excellent, staff are superb - the concierge service and bed is extremely comfortable.
Service is very attentive and helpful, concierge are always friendly, the rooms are all gorgeous.
All in all a great stay and the front desk staff was helpful on the whole.
I had a massage, used the gym and sat by the stunning pool - the best club house sandwhich and fries I have had in a long time.
I told the bellboy that my wife like the flowers we saw in the lobby.
The housekeeping was great, as were the butlers.
Leela place is best for business meeting and 2) The rooms are extremely clean.
