If compared with other hotels of the area it does worth it's high price.
Overall it's a decent hotel but it's slightly overpriced and there is just something very surreal about it - in a good way.
The hotel staff have hit me up for money (which I expect on the street, not inside the hotel) and prostitutes proposition in the lobby.
It is located right downtown in Windhoek, since I was there on business I found the location to be great.
Great location, makes the stay well worth and prices not too bad.

If you want a nice meal try the Zoo Gardens Restaurant in the park just down the street.
The Dunes restaurant offered a very good buffet.
This is by far one of the best hotels on Windhoek, on the heart of Town on top of a Mall on Idependence Avenue, close to everything, professional staff, clean rooms, good service.
Professional staff, check-in at the reception was quick and the room was quite nice.
The staff were unfailingly friendly, the room service was great and eating at a really good restaurant called Gathemanns.
Very well located in the city centre, nice lobby and the staff were unfailingly friendly.
When we were there 2 out of 3 lifts were working, the third was in the process of being replaced and lokked like it should be finished soon, but there was no problem.
In the 9 days that we were there one of the three lifts was always out of order, a second was out of order for 50% of the time, and the third out of order around 10% of the time.
But now there was 60 or 70 people on the ground floor vying for the one lift that was working.
Professional staff, clean rooms and delicious dinner buffet - at $15/person.
