The Ixian Grand

The location is great for getting into Rhodes town, the hotel is situated in a quiet and the room is cleaned daily.

The location of the hotel is also poor, set right on the outskirts of the resort, next to a sewerage outlet - I wouldn't swim in the sea, put it that way.

The location is very nice and the beach is beautiful as well.

However it all worked out in the end and we got the to airport in time for the flight and the money for that taxi was refunded by the rep at the airport.

Ixia itself is within walking distance but for those who don’t walk its about 4 euros by taxi, Rhodes is about 6-8 euros and the taxi fare to the airport is about 10-12 euros.

The lady told us that the rooms shown on the website were pictures taken of their brand new Ixian Grand suites, and one other room that had the new bed sheets used to take the pictures taken away afterwards!

The food we thought was excellent, If we had a complaint ,it was the siteof thegames room ,it really should not be near the bed rooms, even though it had a notice asking people not use the games and tables after 10.

Firstly don't pay extra for a superior family room as superior it definately is not, basically the 'second' bedroom/living area is a windowless, airless room with a bed settee in it and nothing else.

It was a 1 bedroom suite with a half wall and a sofa bed.

The rooms : one garden wing , second floor, street view , but quiet , big room , nice but not entirely renovated, bathroom not so clean , same the towels , sometimes water had no pressure and was alternating very hot and very cold.

If you like Indian food then the RAJ restaurant in Faliraki is the place to go as it out shone alot of indian restaurants in england for the meal quaility.

Being in a suite, we got to eat in the A La Zonia restaurant for breakfast, though we tried the standard buffet restaurant as our little girl actually preferred it.

The pool restaurant / bar served delicious food which was all freshly prepared and cooked in the open kitchen area and we felt was really good value for money.

Fantastic and plentiful breakfast in the suite-residents-only restaurant offers beautiful views of the ocean, hotel - stylish.

Cocktail bar were very nice and clean, breakfast was nothing special you liked a good English fry up, the private pools were a real plus.

Bar service-we found reception bar staff lovely-they always remembered what we drank and served with a smile.

Well impressed by both the friendliness of the staff, the quality and the speed of the service, and the quality and quantity of the food.

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was excellent.

There’s a limited gym including a table tennis table, but it is very cool inside, the games room consists of a pool table and some games machines.

Swimming pools are freezing cold, sauna does not yet exist, gym is poor and water sports non-existant.

The bars are very good serving Lowenbrau and Stella on draught and all other sprits etc… main in the lobby is good and very good staff, can get busy around 11pm when the pool bar and beach bar close.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable as was the rest of the hotel.

The room was a family room and was spacious and clean - more than big enough for our family of three (two adults and a 16 year old lad).

Hotel was always clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious having a sofa.

So the bathroom floor is always clean, the foods are delicious and the pools are fabulous.

The beach is fine, the staff are very nice and helpfull, rooms are big and clean.
