Hotel Iroquois New York - 纽约

Wonderful location and located in a very attractive section of West 44 th street.

Located between Times Square and 5th Ave, the location could not have been better.

The location is ideal; close proximity to Theatre District and Central Station.

We found the best way to get from Newark airport to Manhattan was by taxi, the cost was approx $60 and it was far quicker than the shuttle bus which we had used previously.

The only time I used the subway was when I went to the statue of Liberty tour which was on the southern tip of Manhattan, otherwise all my tours was done on foot.

Bottom line, weary after a day wandering around NY the room was all it should be; clean, enthusiastic air con ;-), potent hot shower, enough fluffy towels and robes and a comfortable bed.

I was upgraded to a suite (for the same price as a regular room) and was treated to a comfortable living room (didn't really get to enjoy it though, for the one night I was there) and a spacious & beautiful bedroom/bath.

Plus, all the rooms at the Iroquois have marble baths [combined tub/shower in non-suite rooms] and are well sound-proofed; I have never heard noise from the rooms around me or the hallways.

The room that my girlfriend and I shared was costly compared to its size (almost $600 for a suite that barely fits a king sized bed, a small desk, and a dresser).

The linens and bed are great, and the bathroom was large, spotless, well-lighted and had plenty of towels, hot water and water pressure.

We ate breakfast - once at the Hotel restaurant - we asked for additional piece of toast which we were charged $9.

There is a very good and inexpensive restaurant next door for breakfast.

The restaurant and bar, TRIOMPHE was excellent and the hotel is centrally located and close to Times Square and browadway attractions.

The only "con" was the $20 per person continental breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.

Dinning at the restaurant for breakfast was one our favorites.

The staff at the Iroquois worked exceptionally hard to please--from the bellman to the concierge to the front desk staff.

As for complaining about this lack of service, we should have talked to the front desk since contacted housekeeping staff made no apology for their lack of effort.

There is also a fitness room with finnish sauna on the third floor, which we LOVED.

I was attracted by the Frette linens and robes; my husband liked that a 24-hour fitness center was available, and that discounted parking was right across the street.

Being thanksgiving there was a beautiful Xmas tree up in the lobby and constant hot cider available for free.

Finally, the complimentary wireless, high speed internet is a great amenity.

The entire hotel offers complimentary wireless Internet access which is a rarity even at luxury hotels like Four Seasons, which I think Iroquois outshines.

The linens are first class, the bathroom is very clean and modern.

The room (we had a king executive this time) was large, clean and comfortable.

We really don't spend much time in the hotel room, but you do have to sleep and clean up there, and the facilities were fantastic.

The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and everything was clean.

Our room itself was both beautiful and clean.
