Idle Rocks Hotel Saint Mawes - St Mawes

Firstly we had perfect weather that enabled us to enjoy both the hotel and the lovely scenic places on the Roseland penninsula, Situated on the waters edge, directly overlooking the little harbour, the location is perfect fpr relaxing.

Wonderful view, beautiful location unfortunately the hotel and the staff were almost without exception courteous.

The location is perfect, the Idle Rocks hotel is the place to go for quiet relaxation and staff are friendly.

The views across the harbour are beautiful, the hotel is in the most perfect location - great and the restaurant is well appointed.

A fantastic location, just overall a really nice stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our apartment had two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two twin beds.

We stopped in one of the four posted bed rooms in the Georgian House opposite the hotel and again found the room to be to our liking - plenty of room and very romantic.

I had a single room and found it very disappointing, it was so small I coud brush my teeth from the sink, there was hardly any room around the bed at all and though it had a bathroom that was equally small and difficult to manoeuvre in.

It was beautifully furnished, with a very comfy bed and a gorgeous bathroom, really top class.

The room was in the new part of the hotel and was very clean, nicely furnished including a super bathroom with tub.

We didn't eat in the hotel, apart from their excellent breakfasts, preferring to try the local pubs - these both provided good food, expecially the Rising Sun, which is conveniently opposite the hotel.

A nice view from the lounge/dining room; nice decor in the lounge; breakfast was (on the day I had it) okay taste wise if a little small.

The view across the bay from the restaurant and lounge is superb.

We dined in the restaurant on three evenings and the meal was first class on each occasion.

The restaurant was delightful, the service and food was excellent.

The staff varied from a very polite receptionist to a rather surly manager, whom we witnessed being quite rude to another guest.

Excellent views from the bedroom window, the Hotel clearly tries to perfect customer service and all the staff we friendly and welcoming.

We received a good welcome by staff at The Idle Rocks, the service is excellent and the apartments are modern.

Without exception, the reception and dining room staff could not have been friendlier or more obliging.

By the way the hotel car park holds only 5 cars and if full the public car parking is extra at 3 quid a day.

There is no free parking, but limited space is available for?

5 a night, although local parking is also close by at?

Location is great, the hotel itself has a relaying atmosphere that is perfect and the rooms are always clean.

The rooms are very clean, breakfast is good too.

The staff were friendly and the room was spotlessly clean.
