Henry Jones Art Hotel Hobart - 霍巴特

I'd like to say that this hotel has it for location, over all the others, as its right on the docks and right next to a great seafood restaurant across the road.

They even printed out directions for us to get to our next location.

Staff don't bother you unless you want them to, view was excellent, location on the harbour definitely romantic!

We had a view over the docks from the large windows and the hotel has a great, central location but was quiet at night.

PS: Don't believe the taxi driver if they say they can't drive up to the hotel - they are just being lazy and don't want to navigate the one way system.

The room furniture was not too exciting but the bed was comfortable and down pillows were delivered on request.

Rooms vary in size and price - we preferred our double room to the suite.

The room was large and comfortable, with a slick modern bathroom with large bath ensconced in a glass box in the corner of the space.

The rooms are huge, with great beds and a very big modern bathroom.

The 'pod' bathroom allowed for an ultra-modern unit without spoiling the architecture of the room, The huge spa bath was just lovely, although I thought the toiletries might have been a little more luxurious.

We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, fabulous, the staff in the restaurant and at reception were the best we have come across for a long time.

We ate in the restaurant and also had room service - both were excellent, although I would say breakfast is not great value for money and I didn't feel that the restaurant was big on atmosphere.

Did not use restaurant except for breakfast which was quite good though expensive.

It also meant that the restaurant was cold, as was the bar.

On our fourth and last night we were given a voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar and 2 complimentary breakfasts the next day - for two chilly nights.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff in terms of their helpfulness and professionalism without a hint of the aloofness that occasionally mars the service at superior establishments.

The service and staff were excellent, the room was great, very different but worked well the old and the new, the art work was great too.

This stay represented very good value, service great and helpful concierge.

The reception was welcoming, the room was quite large and bar service was efficient.

The valet parking was free and was very quick and efficient, and checking in and out was a breeze.

We received free valet parking and our car was always easily accessible.

No request was too big orsmall for them, constantly providing valet parking on out many trips out.

However it was still beautiful and very classy as far as bathrooms go and exceptionally clean and appealing.

The spa bedroom was homely and immaculately clean; just perfect for the chilly Hobart evening!
