Generally the hotel is a little worn in parts but represents very good value for money on a weekend break.
Windsor deserves so much better - customers deserve better - the entire hotel travelling public deserve much better - service standards and value for money which this - most certainly is not - and we (apparently) got a special rate!
I really think for the price of the hotel, a much better breakfast should be provided.
It's all very unfortunate that in all the money spent on the hotel, they've missed out on the really simple things; like customer service.
On the main high street, lots of wonderful shops nearby and great location directly across from Windsor Castle.
The location was the best, dinner in the Tower brasserie was delicious and proximity to Windsor attractions was excellent.
The location opposite of Windsor Castle was great and we liked the fact that the Hotel was very close to the castle as we attended an investiture on 8th April.
3am, around 600 people leave the clubs up the road and all of them seem to stand outside the hotel, waiting for taxis, and talk very LOUDLY, using plenty of raw Anglo Saxon invective, for a number of hours.
The hotel is brilliantly located for everything; the railway station is just around the corner, the river just down to the left road, and Great Windsor Park a minutes walk to the right of the hotel.
When we arrived it was very busy, which is always a good sign, we checked in and the room was fabulous, a four poster bed, huge bathroom and we over looked Windsor Castle.
The room was very spacious and clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was extremely nice.
The room was clean, warm, and well maintained and ours contained a bath and a power shower that supplied lovely hot water.
Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was of a very good standard.
That’s the only caveat though, so if you’re not a “stay in bed until lunchtime” kind of person, would definitely recommend for a luxurious stay in Windsor.
Staff is courteous ready to help, bar/breakfast room are lovely and the restaurant is spacious.
The hotel has 2 restaurants, one is a carvery restaurant but it only serves food until 9pm.
The Café restaurant serves food until 5pm but there are so many other restaurants to try within a very short walk from the hotel.
It's B&B so there's breakfast served in the restaurant every morning - which was a cold buffet (cereal, juice etc) or hot food off the menu for eggs, bacon, toast.
We had breakfast in the restaurant; there was a large buffet with all the cold breakfast items which looked great.
Great location, i thought the hotel staff were very friendly and professional, the ladies at the Reception Desk were so nice and helpful.
The service from all the staff in the hotel was excellent and I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
The service was excellent, rooms were very nicely furnished and the staff at the restaurant was very nice as well.
Great location, available very early on the morning of the day of our stay and reception staff very helpful and welcoming.
Only other negative is expensive car parking.
The food is good and the spa attached is also fantastic.
There is no parking available at the Hotel - just 2 drop off bays but parking is on hand in the multi-storey car park, which costs only £6 per day and is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
The bathroom were spotless and food was good.
The room was clean and the food was excellent.

The rooms were very clean; to be picky there were a few cracks in the walls, and a few old stains in the carpet, but the hotel is over 100 years old.
