Good high street location, nicely situated in the town and i thought that the hotel in all was pretty nice.
Great location, good value for money and lovely old building.
The location was ideal, the hotel was directly on the high street and staff.

Room stank of stale fags, bed was uncomfortable and could not get any sleep because of the pikeys next door playing load music till 2 am and starting up again at 8am.
The rooms are beautiful, with oak beams and queensize beds, the bathrooms are clean and spacious.
The bed was comfortable but the pillows and bedding were old and unpleasant.
Room was clean and the bathtub was very big.
My room was shabby and when asked management if it would be possible to change rooms it was dealt with ungraciously and made me feel like it was my fault.
Lounge bar are always an appealing factor and the breakfast is also very nice.
Great dinner - food was very good and restaurant staff at breakfast were very friendly.
The rooms were shabby and smelt musty, the food was awful, the kipper my partner ate for breakfast had mould on it.

When the owners of the cars did turn up, they said that the hotel reception staff had told them to leave their cars there as there was no where else to park.
Reception staff we were here for the wedding reception and she quite literally blanked us!
The reception staff seemed as if they had better things to do, not really very interested in the guests.
Bathroom is modern, car parking was easy (Friday night) and breakfast was enjoyable - service at breakfast, good.
The location, right in the centre of town, could not be better, with car parking facilities, difficult to find but very welcome.
Loved the place which preserved much of the life style of days gone, including the cigar smell which seems to have stuck to the lobby interiors.
The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, very clean and well presented.

Our room, 310, was high (stairs) but quiet, roomy, comfortable and clean.
