George Hotel Christchurch - 基督城

The hotel is in a wonderful location, close to town but not noisy.

The only thing I could see going for it was the location, being near the town centre and the beautiful parks.

We had a very nice room with a glimpse of Hagley Park directly across the street - what a great location!

The staff don't seem to know anything (like how much is a taxi to the airport, for one of many examples), and don't seem to realise that it's the attention to detail that sets a quality property apart.

They made us feel welcome and comfortable, and helped us with taxi's, shutle buses, directions and more.

The room was more than we could of asked for with a very comfortable bed, 2 plasma screen tv's, a living area, spa bath and fully stocked and very tempting mini bar.

Our two room suite was incredible with such amenities as remote controlled air conditioning, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, free sherry, and an awesome view of the neighboring park (as shown in the attached photos).

The only criticism was that the en-suite bathroom appeared to retain the original bathroom suite, complete with a painted-over bath enamel chip in the wrong colour – nasty, spoilt the image.

The bathroom was modern and the bed, a European king, was large and comfortable.

The room was excellent, with very comfortable bed, and quiet.

Really helpful staff, rooms were of a high standard and breakfast in their restaurant on the ground floor - food was excellent.

Hotel was minimalist and restaurants were certainly noveau cuisine - a bit over priced and under-serviced but excellent food quality.

Food; the restaurant was fully booked, so we used room service which was rather expensive and the portions really small, less than a child’s portion in most restaurants.

There is a choice of two restaurants in the hotel and a lobby bar that serves great cocktails.

In addition a small very comfortable hotel, a lobby bar that serves great cocktails and besides its well known restaurant was the off-street parking.

From the reception staff to room service everyone was commited to making our stay the best.

Staff service was excellent with particular mention for the concierge who did an outstanding job in the location and return of prescription glasses which had been left in Greymouth.

Service (especially bellman/concierge) was absolutely excellent - very helpful and knowledgeable.

The hotel was wonderful, the staff and service were both of the highest quality and we will definitely be back!

No gym, no swimming pool, but we did get extremely friendly service.

There is free internet access downstairs in the lobby.

The hotel was wonderful and lobby were quite nice.

The bar and lobby were quite nice, but the rooms, albeit functional and clean were nothing to rave about.

The service was exceptional, rooms were clean and the food was just as good.

The staff were excellent and rooms were clean.

The staff nice, clean room and consisted of a continental or fried breakfast chosen from a menu.

The rooms are spotless and excellent restaurant may be too expensive for some.
