I challenge those reviewers to pay the real prices for those rooms,when the hotel is more than 50% full and give the same praise as before.
My sister and I brought some drinks and goodies from our previous hotel (it was all inclusive), so that saved us paying outrageous prices for water and liquor.
Highly recommend this restaurant as well as getting away from the hotel on this overpriced night.
We rented a car for a day from the hotel premises (Carlos -- he is the guy who sits in the travel agency in the hotel) and we were asked to pay in US dollars in cash and then our credit card was also charged for $86.
The different rates are based on location.
Loved the location, isolated but near so much.
When you come out of the airport theres a mad rush of people trying to grab your bags and put you in a taxi or shuttle.
I recommend renting a car from the airport ,costs about $14 a day fora nissan sentra, cab from airport is about $80 so u do the math , alot cheaper to rent a car.
The room had two very comfortable queen beds, plenty of closet space (2) and a wonderful marble bathroom with two vanities, seperate bath tub and shower.
Rooms were great, comfy bed nice big bath etc.
The rooms (we had suites) were fabulous - plenty of room with lovely terraces, very large and beautiful bathrooms.
The rooms are gorgeous, and the bathrooms are huge, with glass windows (overlooking a private garden so you feel like you are bathing outdoors), rain shower heads in gorgeous showers, and there is a big sunken tub.
Service: Always pleasant, wonderful owner and comfy bed nice big bath etc.
Glass Bar (restaurant at Playa) was really good (and cheap for the quality) with one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had (I go out dining a lot everywhere I go as well as New York City).
We only ate at La Laguna restaurant for breakfast buffett and for dinner one night - the food was slightly expensive but very good.
The breakfast buffet at La Laguna restaurant was excellent and we also really enjoyed eating lunch on the Terrace at Las Brisas, overlooking the beautiful beach.
And we had several great meals in the main dining restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Nice breakfast at the breakfast restaurant, but it ends by 11 - no other breakfast food avialable except room service - which takes a while.
First, the front desk staff is disorganized and definitely not customer service oriented.
The best thing about the hotel was its staff and service was great.
Our hotel guide Isael was unbelievably nice, the staff was excellent and room service took a very long time two days in a row.
Once again the service was impeccable, and the staff is at your beck and call, as for the prices!
The room was clean, the other meals we had ranged from "very good to OK and sPA/GYM: Gym was nicely equipped.
Excellent air conditioning, the gym at the spa has high end workout equipment.
The main pool is very nice with a waterslide, swim-up bar and Jacuzzi section and a separate adult pool.
Clean rooms beautiful beach and fresh flowers in public areas.
Rooms did not feel really clean and didn't smell fresh.
The cleaning staff did an excellent job - kept the rooms spotless.
The rooms are very big, clean, and beautiful.
Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
