Located in the middle of Banff National Park, the hotel The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, which is great all year round, has amazing views of the Rockies and Lake Louise that almost seem fake. Some felt that the rooms were small and drab, but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The lobby is often crowded with tourists.

Excellent view of the lake, that's the good news stops and the town of Banff is delightful also and has a lot of dining and shopping options.
Excellent location next to lake and romantic setting.
Staff is very friendly and will listen to concerns, back to the room for a great sleep in a great bed.

My junior suite on the fairmont gold floor had a wonderful view of the lake and our stay was unpleasant and not we expected at all. The housekeeping staff were great and the room was very nice, spacious, and the bathroom was clean and tidy.
