My 80 year old parents and 3 sisters (40 to 55 years) recently stayed at the Westin Embassy and thought it was a great hotel especially for the price we booked on Booked.net (120/night).
Got a grerat price from Booked.net- hotel was very nice; all the staff were very cheerful and helpful.
Net- hotel was very nice, at the price we paid were very pleased and from arrival to departure the staff were friendly.
Great hotel, house-keeping was friendly and the prices were a little high.
Great location - close to the Metro and the hotel is located in a nice neighborhood.

Terrific location close to many great restaurants, the hotel itself is attractive and comfortable.
Coming from Regan National Airport, we took the Metro to the Dupont Circle station and went up to the street through the North exit which gets you to the corner of Q and 20th.
We didn’t really ask much of the hotel staff, but the night before we checked out, we did inquire about a taxi to the airport.
It had a full dining room, kitchenette, living room, 2 bathrooms - 1 with a huge jacuzzi tub and a huge king size canopy bed in the bedroom.
We had two rooms, one room had two newer heavenly beds, and the other had a much older "quasi-heavenly" bed which was in desperate need of replacement.
It was an apartment building once upon a time and the rooms are all a bit different, some small, some with tubs, some with little counter space at the bathroom vanity.
Yes, the elevators are slow and the water pressure may be lacking at times, but the bed couldn't have been more comfortable nor the room more quiet.
The room, bed, TV and staff were otherwise very nice.
Staff are friendly; the breakfast was good, and the lounge bar is pleasant for a nightcap.
They did have a breakfast and lunch restaurant that I did not take the time to visit.
The bar staff sent us to the great restaurants, the front desk stored my mom's ice packs for her medication, and they got us a cab whenever we needed it.
Rooms were wonderful, the restaurant manager was very helpful as we had breakfast included in our rate and the waiters we had were amazing.
Our second two night stay at the end of our holiday we had a much nicer room, all of the staff were friendly and the restaurant manager was very helpful as we had breakfast included in our rate,but no voucher to prove it!
However, the staff at the Westin is terrific: every need is anticipated before you can even think of it, the service is fast and efficient, the valet whipper smart, the concierge all-knowing, the bellhop respectful, dutiful, and approachable.
The service at the hotel from the doorman, to the front desk, to the concierge was also amazing.
All the waiters, front desk, bells staff were extremely nice and helpful!
This is noticable from when you first enter the small lobby, travel in the (one functioning) elevator, and rooms themselves.
One of the elevators was closed for renovation during our stay, burdening the sole working elevator with double duty.
The space at the elevator lobby is quite cramped.
When connected, the speed felt like dial-up.
This classic-style hotel put us into a fresh, clean, and comfortable room that afforded us a beautiful view of the Washington Monument from our 8th Floor corner location.
Rooms were clean and continental breakfast was fine.
Besides several stains in the room carpet (which are extremely anoying), the room and hotel -overall, were clean.
When we returned to change at 4:30 PM, the room had not been cleaned, so we called housekeeping and they promised to come clean.
Rooms were clean and you could walk to restaurants and sights.
