Hotel Edinburgh Residence - 爱丁堡

Excellent location and over all a great place to relax.

A major benefit was the on site parking - the best location, all of the hotel staff made us very wellcome and the rooms were lovely and spacious.

The location of this hotel is very convienient to get around.

However, the day before we left, I put in a request for an early wake up call and a cab to the airport.

My wake up call and cab weren't in the book.

We stayed in suite 12 which had a sitting room, a lovely bedroom and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath for two!

We had a large room, with enormous bed, very comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs, bathroom with massive bath and a walk in shower.

Our suites were huge though different, with nice living areas that included comfortables stuffed sofas and chairs as well as a good sized glass table for two in a bay window; great enormous bathrooms, fluffy terry robes and bath sheets.

I paid £180 per night for a suite which ammounted to a decent bathroom, spacious lounge with small glass dining table in the corner, TV, DVD-player, etc, two sofas, leading into a large bedroom.

Room had large TV/DVD/CD player and TV could be moved out to get a great view when lying in bed.

The only little downside is that there is no restaurant, but breakfast service comes quickly enough from a restaurant associated with the hotel.

We had breakfast delivered to our rooms – there is no restaurant in the hotel, though their sister hotel, the Bonham has one, and it's about a block away.

There are no restaurants right near the hotel, other than the restaurant at the sister hotel just a few doors down, which was not as good as the small, less opulent, less expensive restaurants we dined in closer to the center of town.

Just a few minutes away are restaurants, supermarkets and shops.

We mostly ate out in the evenings down the road but the breakfasts were delicious!

Excellent views from mkost rooms and the staff and service are second to none.

The staff were most discrete and polite, the service is very much in the background but better for that.

We especially liked the 24 hour Room Service Menu & the complimentary internet service available in the Reception Room.

The staff were friendly and the service was great.

Jacuzzi, bidet, dark red and white tiles half way up all around, gleaming modern shower stall, towel warmer, good toiletries, lots of glass shelves.

Imagine our shock when I was able to easily lift the window up with one hand - from outside!

It was funny to see all the guests in their pajamas and nightgowns roaming around the lobby and parlor.

On entering the room the first impression was drab, the sofa was faded and dirty and the carpets needed a good clean.

The hotel was lovely, peaceful, quiet, the reception area clean and homely, the room was the only problem.
